A.E.C is short for Al - Ibrohimy English Course which is located at Sub district of Galis, regency of
Bangkalan, Madura, East Java in a small island and people usually call it salted island where the best
salt produced by the local native people and sent to all over java even Indonesia. A.E.C identically
refers to Institute for Islamic study of Al - Ibrohimy (yayasan pendidikan islam Al - Ibrohimy ) where
some education institutes from islamic kindergarten till Islamic collage, Islamic boarding house
(Ponpes Putra - Putri), orphan, included A.E.C are under it’s banner. Institute for Islamic study of Al -
Ibrohimy fully activate the education system in Galis sub district especially and Madura island where
four regencies inside it in common. Strategic location becomes one point reason why this English
course chosen by the new English students from many regions, easy access becomes an important
role for them to take course by all type of means of transportation in addition friendly welcome and
religious atmosphere will accompany you all day long

A.E.C is a new English Course for formal in Bangkalan because it was registered and got the
formal certificate from Department of National Education (Departemen Pendidikan Nasional) in 2010
but we have run A.E.C informally since 2006. Alhamdulillah today A.E.C still exists to contribute the
educational development for this country especially in Bangkalan.

A.E.C is designed in different style and atmosphere do you know why? well . . . you know
besides it’s located at strategic area near main street, one thing and other reasons that differ from
the other course are the system, atmosphere, and costume included the course fee. Let me see more
detail below:

 The system:

Beside regulations we have, some stages must be done by the course student they must fulfill the
standard point that is 60 for each aspect comprises:

 Reading Comprehension covers reading the text, handbook, story, news, and etcetera. They are
taught how to read well, reading slowly or fast, and using good intonation.
 Translation covers how to translate well, using translating method; this section includes
vocabulary building etc.
 Speaking covers how to speak well and comprehend the speaking well,
 Listening in this section the student is trained to be able to catch and comprehend every single
word from the native speaker or audio visual
 Grammar is a must for student to be learned suitable with their course level (Pre - Elementary,
Elementary or Intermediate Level)
 Presentation in this case the student must be brave and ready to present their ability in front of
the class as our motto “ready or not you must be ready.”
  Reasoning is an additional program but the student must take it this is applied when the
discussion or debate is held, they have to be able to give the realistic reason in the discussion
or debate.

 The atmosphere

Alhamdulillah A.E.C is located in Islamic boarding house of Al - Ibrohimy so the Islamic atmosphere is
extremely felt by the course student

 The costume

In general the course student wear a uniform or casual dress but here seems little different than the
other, because the course students use Muslim wear and the girl student wear Muslim veil all of the
situation and condition is really Islamic atmosphere.

 The course fee

Talking about the financial almost all the institutes think that it is privacy thing but in this course we
will tell the fact. This course may be the cheapest one in fee in this world comparing with the others
until now 2010 the monthly payment is just 15.000 with the facilities above while the others can be
double, triple or much more. We do it on purpose because our orientation is not based on profit
oriented only but tends to the charity or worship.

The establishment of A.E.C is because of society demand and education progress in foundation of
Islamic education of Al - Ibrohimy where year by year the development in all aspects include quantity
or quality tend to be better. Mr. Rafi fauzi initiates to establish an English Course namely Al - Ibrohimy
English Course and Al - Ibrohimy is a precise name taken from the founder’s name of Islamic boarding
house Al - Ibrohimy KH. Ibrahim that

his key task or main duty are to control the study - teaching
process, to teach the students, to make the course policy, to
make master plan and to run the plan so that the course runs
well as we wish.

He likes reading, discussion, sharing, thinking about life as a

particularly valuable lesson for his life and others, badminton
as his choice in sport for maintaining his health another
activity compiling English book and religion book to kill the
time wisely his motto is “ready or not you must be ready” then become A.E.C ’s motto
