ABRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Every year, schools and universities celebrate their respective foundation days to
commemorate the day when the school was founded or established. It is significant not only
because of the number of years it has served the community where a school belongs to. It is
likewise significant especially if the founding of the school has resulted to considerable benefit
to those it serves.
Abra Elementary School celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on March 22, 2019 with a
Theme: “AES @ 42 Overcoming Challenges and Sustaining Excellence”
This Foundation Day is typically the date when the school first opened its doors to the
public. This was done to accommodate the various activities lined up for the occasion such as
Fund Raising Activity, Contested Activities and Mission. Speeches of school authorities are
heard as they enumerate school accomplishments and their goals and plans for the coming
years.
The Foundation Day was opened in the morning with a simple program and it was
followed right away with the PA BINGO of Parent Teachers Association Officials headed by
Mr. Roger Dangngay. Parents, Stakeholders and pupils joined the sais activity. The proceeds
of the activity is to improve the School Canteen of the school which is the priority project of
the PTA.
In the afternoon was the Coronation Day to all the winners in the Search for Mr. and
Ms. ABRA 2019, a Popularity contest from Kindergarten to Grade 6 which aims to produce
fund for the improvement of school physical aspect for the benefit of the learners. The Director
General for this activity is Mrs. Miriam P. Antimano. It was also attended by the Schools
Division Superintendent and the previous school heads of Abra Elementary School as the
honorees as part of the AES success.
