Activity 9: Message for a Violence-Free World

Promoting a Culture of Non-Violence


Promoting a culture of non-violence is the main key to have a peaceful environment and also
to the community. Also, promoting a culture of non-violence is hard to do.
When you’re promoting a culture of non-violence, you should start first I a small. Start it at
your house like not hurting your brother and sister and at school like avoiding bullying and other
stuff like that. When you do this, you can also benefit like they will give it back to you on how
you treat them and respect them. And by this, we will have a simple and peaceful community.
Promoting a culture of non-violence is very hard to do nowadays, but if you will strive, you
can do this by just respect them as a people. When you strive, our community or people won’t do
some harmful doings like committing suicide and depressed or anxiety. And also, we can prevent
intentional injuries.

1. Actually, I don’t have a partner and I don’t have any basis to answer the question.
2. When I have a partner and s/he write an essay that promote a culture of non-violence, I
think that it will be an effective because people like to respect them, and don’t argue
them.
3. When I have a partner and s/he write an essay that promote a culture of non-violence, I
think that it will be an achievable because we people have many objectives and one of it
is to respect them. Through respect, we can have a peaceful community and by that
people will have their rights to be free and live happily ever after.
Activity 7: Speechless
1. The poem is all about Child Abuse Ends in Death. -The poem "Speechless" by Kyra Lee is
about 2 little girls, they are sisters and their father abuses them. One is 6 and the other is 3. But
sadly the 3 year old started crying and her father beat her to death. And her 6 year old sister
witnessed her sister's death. The 3 year old still had all of her life left to live, and the 6 year old
has to live the rest of her life with the image of her baby sister holding her hand as her body lied
there lifeless.
2. The poem makes me angry to know that someone is so asinine and disgusting to treat children
this way. Especially knowing that children die everyday because of abuse. It's heartbreaking.
