Emily Wilson, aka Em, began her epic journey at SPCC in year 7.

Emily has
trouble counting as her three words to describe her life at SPCC are learning and
exploration. Her favourite teachers were Miss Chegwyn, Mr Baker and Mr
Powell, and she says that the thing that will be missed the most is seeing
everyone everyday. If you were to see Emily at the canteen she would most
probably be purchasing a Jupiter bar or a chocolate oak. Her most memorable
class was business with Chegwyn and her most memorable moment was
witnessing Danielle finding a salad in her locker from 1990. In ten years time
Emily hopes that there is no more astro turf and says that we need more grass.

As a child Emily used to say, “when I grow up I want to be a teacher, a navigator

(like on sea patrol) and a ballerina. In 5 years time she hopes to be travelling
somewhere and wants to have a steady job in ten. Emily’s hobbies include
baking and then eating what she has baked and her favourite quote is “Get
psyched, you can do anything and be anything”, Shelly Sykes.

FeiFei Yao, aka Julia, has attended SPCC since 2009 and sums up her journey as
challenging, fun and rewarding. She would like it if the school could have more
multi-cultural teachers but hopes that the positive relationship we currently
have between students and teachers is still the same in ten years. Julia’s favourite
subjects are Chinese and Maths, she most likes the milk from the canteen and her
favourite quote is “什么我做我需要艰苦工作” which means, whatever I am going
to do, I need to work hard! FeiFei’s hobbies include shopping and ice skating and
most people don’t know that she loves playing badmitton. She doesn’t really have
an embarresing moment but her most memorable moments are when she
celebrates birthdays with her friends and eat cakes and share presents. In 5
years she will be at University studying to become a maths teacher, in 10 she
hopes to be married and in 20 she hopes to have travelled the world several
times. Her most memorable class was in her first ESL English class watching
‘Mao’s Last Dancer’. She hopes to be remembered as a kind and caring person
who is respectful to others and she will miss the teachers a lot.
In life don’t get caught up competing with others, or trying to be like others,
instead, be yourself and be strong and kind to others.

Dr. Frederick “Funk” Funkingsworth, the Funky Wizard, started at SPCC in 1883.
Most people don’t know that the Funky Wizard served in the Korean War as a
waiter and that he has always wanted to be a Rabbi. His favourite subject is Art,
loves all the teaches <3 and thinks the canteen food all tastes like rubbish. He will
definitely not miss the work load of year 12 and he would like to be remembered
not only as the one totally funky, but also as flippin’ fly, freaked and fantastical
dude. His most memorable moment is when he was converted to Rasta
fashionism. His most embarresing moment was his waldrobe malfunction and
his hobby is ‘Cheezin’ it’.
Bin Xi, known to some as MeteorX, known to others as the kid who doesn’t drop
a mark in Mathematics, has been at SPCC since year 10. He loved Maths and Mrs
Anastopoules and his favourite food is nuggets. In 5 years he wants to have
graduated from uni, in 10 have a good job and a child, in 20 a happy life. Most
people don’t know that Bin is actually a secret agent, posing as an international
student (explaining his incredible Math skills) in order to retrieve secret
information about what the IT guys actually do. So far his mission has been
unsuccessful, failing to recognize any contribution by the IT men to anything but
the increasing obesity rate of Australian citizens.

Lingzhi Yuan, known by most as Ling, has attended SPCC since year 10. Three
words to describe her life at SPCC are fun, enjoyable and memorable. The things
that Ling will miss the most are MP 16, the common room, schoolmates and
teachers, her favourite being Mrs O’Dea. Ling’s favourite subject was ESL and her
favourite food from the canteen is the humble meat pie. Her most memorable
moment was having class with her Australian friends and she has no idea what
her most embarrassing moment is. In 5 years time Ling wishes to be studying
Business at UNSW, in 10years she wants to have a good job and make lots of
money in Aus (also married) and in 20 years she is going to own a company in
China.

As a child Ling said, “when I grow up I want to be an entrepreneur.” And one

thing most people don’t know is that she loves talking to people, “If people could
speak Chinese, it will be good. LOL.” Her hobbies include travelling and in ten
years time she hopes that the common room has not changed. Ling hopes that in
ten years there are less international students at SPCC, too many international
student will make it hard for them to make Australian friends.
Matilda Wendtman, more commonly known as; Tilbags, Tilly, Fairchild, Tildog,
Tilz, Builder and Til, first began her St Philips education in 1999. She describes
her schooling life as long, fun and memorable and has too many favourite
teachers. Fairchild says that the things she will miss most about school are; her
friends “I’m going to miss seeing everyone everyday.” Math frees, MP16 “Yew
best MP!!”, Lisa’s water and coffee with the coffee club. Tildog likes a good
quality chicken and corn roll with OAK chocolate milk from the lovely canteen
and her most memorable classes were with Coops, Cock-dog, Connett and
Cheggers. Tilz has too many memorable moments and way too many
embarrassing moments, in 5 years time she wants to be married, in ten years she
desires to be a milf and in 20 years Builder just wants to be content. She would
like to see more flexibility in the school as well as some air con in the common
room and computer lab, but in ten years time she hopes that the feeling you
know everyone from K-12 has not changed “It’s nice to have connections with
people of all ages, including staff.”

Til used to say, “when I grow up I want to be a teacher.” And not much has
changed. One thing people don’t know “when I’m outside of school I still look this
good! haha. Seriously I’m not kidding.” Tilly’s hobbies include going to the beach,
being with good looking people, relaxing, parties, stuff SPCC hates (see Teisha
Galvins profile). Favourite quote, ‘A.B.A.I.S.Y.O.L.O.(yewwww Philzy)’ because it’s
something everyone should live by.
Fairchild: “This may be solid gold, but to us its lighter then air, because dreams
never weigh you down.”
Stranz: “ No; Dreams are in your sleep.”
