Learners will be able to answer the essential I can ​speak ,​ ​read,​ and​ write ​in order to ​create a
question and explain their reasoning through an news broadcast ​to ​explain​ an event using ​research,
analysis of the required Event notes, collaborative discussion, teacher
modeling, graphic organizers​, ...

Step 1: Your Event

First things first, your group will be assigned an event to create a news broadcast on! I am choosing your
event to ensure there is equal representation for each topic.

Step 2: Vocabulary

Next, you are required to know 10 vocabulary words that have been assigned to your topic. Vocabulary can
include people, places, technology, and governmental actions(laws/treaties/agreements).

The definitions ​MUST be in your OWN WORDS​ and ​not copied. ​Wikipedia is an acceptable source but
can oftentimes be difficult to read(even for us teachers). Make sure you are writing definitions that ​YOU
understand.
