Good Math Learning Model

Mathematics is one of the most useful human knowledge in real life. Almost every

part of our lives contains math, so kids need proper experience to be able to

appreciate the fact that mathematics is important for their future. Therefore, a good

mathematical learning model should be able to form logical thinking was not just

good with numbers. Since the counting can be done with tools such as calculators,

computers, etc. But in solving the problem needs to be logic and analytical thinking.

Mathematics is basically teaches logic of thinking based on reason and logic.

However, the general nature of mathematics was abstract and not real because it

consists of symbols. So naturally good mathematical learning model is significantly

with the look, feel, and perform the hands of the students. Or concepts can be taught

in a way be seen, held and played, drawn, spoken, and written.

Mathematical learning model should begin by lifting situations of daily life which

later simplified in the form of word problems. Then the students are asked to model

the toy model (can be a beam, ice cream sticks, etc.) or the model image before

finally making a mathematical sentence. This process must be done in both

directions so that the result will be optimal.

It is expected that with the implementation of mathematical learning model over

the earlier well as concepts , students become proficient at solving the problems (

be a problem solver) in which this goal can be achieved if the principles applied
mathematics learning in two directions so that students can truly master the math

concepts well . In addition, students are expected proficient in math and able to do

the calculations correctly and appropriately (as fast is not the main objective of this

mathematical learning model).
