Hunting THE HIDDEN DIMENSION

Just like before, at the beginning, even our great grandparent has not born, mathematics
has risen. Our old ancestors conduct mathematics uses as their survival things, such as how many
foods to be eat on that day so that they have a food to eat in the coming days. As they apply it, the
year passes, this behavior been pass through our ancestors. Then nowadays, mathematics is
existing and it develop as the year passes. Many formula has appeared; problem is solved as well
through this thing. As you see to your surroundings, math is in there. So therefore, math is
everywhere, math is nature.
But then, where is mathematics? As what I have said, mathematics is everywhere, it is in
our nature. Just like in our home. We can conduct mathematics in there. In our school, in our
barangays, even in our churches. Math is natural as well. Thought we cannot notice it, but we did
not know that we have conduct it. As what I have saw the video entitled “The Hidden Dimension”
it focuses on Fractals. It is geometric figure that is split to its part. We can see this in the branches
of tree for example. As we look on the tree, there are pattern as well. From the trunk of the tree to
its leaves. Just like in clouds also, there are geometric fractals pattern also. Fractals are
everywhere, but we did not notice it. But it is in there. For the reason that we are focusing on the
thing that we interest only. And that is true.
Fractals can be used in video editing, in cloths designing, in weather system, and checking
the heartbeat. In video editing, there are lot of thing can be improving by the use of this fractals.
As what I have seen on the video, it specified there that is Star Wars movie, the scene was in the
area of lava and two men are fighting, and the lava boiled out. In editing the lava flows, they use
3D animation so that it express that it like a real one. They see that there are fractals pattern in
there. In clothes designing, it is very attractive one when they use this fractal. Though it is old
fashion, but it is attractive as well. In checking the heartbeat. There is a line there, I do not know
what is the name of that thing, but it focuses on the heartbeat of a living things. As you can see
there, there are pattern that is repeated again and again. And when they zoom in, they seen that the
pattern is in there again.
Fractals is a geometric shape that is rough that is spiting to its part. Each side is reducing
copy of the whole as what they called self-similarity. This fractal named by Benoit Mandelbrot
(1975) and from the word fractus means fractured.
