Hello everyone,

We stand here to speak on one of the most common yet one of the most important topics, which
we thought fits to discuss with you, it is “Time Management”.

T.I.M.E., as we all know, time is an imminent part of our lives, and there is a well-known quote
which says “Either you run the day, or the day runs you” because each and every moment in
our lives is time, we have to be in charge otherwise time gets away from us quickly and never
comes back. So the major concern of all individuals is to manage this valuable treasure, to use
it wisely and not to waist it. But let me tell you time management is easier said than it is done.

Over and above, there is this cultural matter, Moroccans and Time, and we all know what kind
of relationship we have with time. Believe me if there was an award for timeless nations/
countries, we would probably be late for the ceremony. Imagine the scene: “And the award
goes to: MOROCCO ….cut it off Jim they’re late, they’re not here”.

As students we find it really hard to manage our time; assignments, projects, researches,
presentations other responsibilities as you know most of us are living far from Home. So we
tend to do that one thing which is not a good thing: WE PROCRASTINATE.

I will share with you an anecdote: Last semester, I guess, there was a report we had to deliver
by the end of the semester. The teacher talked about it at the very beginning so I thought to
myself: “Oh that’s more than great you’ll have enough time to work on it slowly but surely”.
In my mind I spread the work out a little like this. (THE GRAPHIC). This is how the work will
go light a first then we’ll just bump up at the end. But then the funniest thing happened the first
month went by, the second and I just couldn’t do stuff ….And so we were here (CHANGE THE
GRAPHIC). And then 1 month turned into 1 week (CHANGE AGAIN) which turned into 3
days until the deadline (CHANGE AGAIN) still not having written a word. SO I DID THE
ONLY THING I COULD, I WROTE IT OVER 72 HOURS. You know what I’m talking about.

I suppose that procrastination is pretty clear now in your minds. Without further ado let’s move
on to talk about some serious facts about procrastination.
