The 1st meeting of the institute of technology staff is being convened on 5th February,2019

focusing on the reviewing of curriculums of newly proposed academic programs under the
institute of technology

The theme of the meeting was:

1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Civil engineering
3. Construction and techno lodge Management and
4. Electrical and Computer Engineering

On the first meeting, the institutes’ staff suggested the presenters for organizing and more
visiting programs from reputed academic institutions, industries and advanced trends in various
fields of engineering. Accordingly, the presenters visited and shared the experiences from
deferent reputed Ethiopian higher institution and showed on the second meeting held.
Participants appreciated the committees and the staff members for ISO 9001:2015 certification of
the institution.

Discussion also included opportunities for students to advance their stem skills through program
and chances to be hired in deferent organization after their graduation. In response to a question
regarding the long term prospects for job opportunity for the students, the resource persons stated
that they have no doubt in job searching on these program.

They stated that the laboratory courses will use existing equipment as the lab has been recently
redesigned and updated. A brief question& answer session was held, and there was consensus to
move forward with the new updated curriculum.

The following points might kindly be incorporated in the forthcoming 2nd meeting of the
academic council the institute of technology.
