Picture Frame

By: Mechelle A. Duavis

Its four corners holds a memory of mine

A glorious day under the sunshine

When all the world has felt so fine

And every second seemed so divine.

With a glass covering, placed properly

Inside is a photo that marks my life's history

Of a family, a friend, or of you and me

Kept in a corner or on walls, hanging pleasantly.

It may looks like a piece of furniture

But its purpose is to keep and carry the picture

To the place where we can call it future

So we could still recall all the memories for sure.

Numerous things have come up on my mind,

Like my favourite movies that I've really wanted to rewind,

Those happy moments we have all shared,

All things that I valued and cared.

Sometimes, resting on it are dust and dirt

I even wiped it using the edge of my shirt

A smile is then painted, remembering my birth

This picture frame holds an important reason to be on earth.
