Revista de Musica Latinoamericana:

This journal is also known as Latin American Music Review and has been published by the University of
Texas Press since 1980. As stated in its online description, Revista de Musica Lationamericana has the
mission to explore the historical, ethnographic, and socio-cultural dimensions of Latin American music in
Latin American social groups, including the Puerto Rican, Mexican, Cuban, and Portuguese populations in
the United States.

Revista de Musica Latinoamericana is published in the United States but it publishes articles written in
English, Spanish, or Portuguese. According to the book Magazines for Libraries, Revista de Musica
Latinoamericana is interdisciplinary in scope, touching the disciplines of anthropology, sociology, and
urban studies. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offers full online access to each of its volumes
through JSTOR.

The World of Music

According to The World of Music’s online description, the mission of this journal is to seek a critical
understanding of performing arts and cultural practices involving music, dance and theater worldwide, as
well as the many contexts in which they come into being. This journal has been published by the
Department of Musicology of the Georg August University Gottingen since 2012. It was published by
different institutions in Germany and Switzerland from 1959 to 2011. The World of Music is published in
English.

According to the journal’s descriptions, it embraces a broad range of cultural and gender-identity
perspectives on music and the other disciplines and contexts in which music can be part of. In addition,
this journal embraces multi-disciplinary analysis of music and its relation to the other humanities and
social sciences. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee holds print copies of the volumes published
between 1975 and 1982. The World of music does not seem to have online publications or online access
to their print publications.

Yearbook for Traditional Music

This journal is published by the International Council for Traditional Music. According to their description,
this journal is a refereed scholarly journal which carries essays, reviews, and reports in the area of
traditional music and dance research. The Yearbook for Traditional Music is published in English and the
University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has online access to their publications from 1988 until their most
recent volume published in 2015 through JSTOR. The Yearbook for Traditional Music is focused on music
and dance from all around the world and the different roles it plays on its original culture. It is mostly
focused on styles of folk music and dance from different regions of the world.
