Abstract :
The rapid growth of technology
and infrastructure has made our lives
easier. The advent of technology has also
increased the traffic hazard and the road
accidents take place frequently which
causes huge loss of life and property
because of the poor emergency facilities.
The objective of the paper is to
provide an optimal solution to this
drawback by developing an integrative
system that is able to speed up the
processing of reporting accidents. Our
prototype, named as accident location
detection system includes an accident
locator device, accident management
website & SMS system.

A hardware prototype was developed
using components like autodialer,
accelerometer, GPS & GSM
components. Haversine algorithm was
modified to enable better efficiency in
searching the nearest hospital to the
accident location.
The functionalities of this system
will enhance the current emergency
response service by providing a platform
for reporting and responding to accidents
effectively.
