Body language is an amazing tool for engaging, persuading, and inspiring audiences. But what
is Body Language?
In simple terms it is what your Body is saying while you’re talking.
Body language comprises gesture, stance, and facial expression. And when you master all of
these it shows that you are in control and that you are happy to be where you are, doing what
you are doing.
Body language is a very strong force, it can be so powerful that it can reinforce your verbal
message or contradict it. Some people actually shake their heads "no" when they say "yes",
which shows that you are unaware of the message you are conveying non verbally.
In a gist, I’ll give you 3 simple tips for having a good body language.
1. Smile genuinely
The saddest topics in the world can have a silver lining moment, even if the happy moment
is simply the speaker’s gratitude for the opportunity to share the message with the
audience.
Smiling is a win-win for both warmth and credibility.
Conclusion: Smile, nod, and use open gestures to communicate your warmth to your
audience. If you communicate warmth, and the audience senses your trustworthiness as well
as your friendliness, you will be on the path to a successful presentation.
