DANCING GIRL

LINE:

 Lines used in this sculpture are mostly curved and angular.


 These lines are organic and are used to form the body of the sculpture.
TEXTURE:
 Texture of the sculpture looks smooth and shiny.
 The surface is engraved in few areas to develop the features and details in the sculpture.

RHYTHM:

 In the arm of the sculpture, there is repeated elevation and depression thus creating a
rhythm.
 This rhythm gives an illusion of bangles in her arm.
HARMONY:
 The body proportions of the figure are in complete harmony.
 Her hair are braided by repeatedly twisting the strands.

BALANCE:
 This sculpture is built in the round and the weight is distributed in such a balanced way
that it is rested on a single limb.
 One arm full of bangles is balanced by a bent arm and hair moved forward.

INDUS VALLEY SEAL

LINE:

• Lines used in this seal are curved and straight vertical and horizontal.

• Straight lines are used to form the script and curved lines make bull’s body.

TEXTURE:

• Texture of the seal is rough and bumpy.

• The surface is engraved and embossed in few areas.

RHYTHM:
 There is repetition of vertical lines and curved lines.
 These lines form script.

HARMONY:
 There is sameness in the seal, the belonging of one thing with another.
 There is harmony in the composition of this seal.

BALANCE:
 This seal is balanced asymmetrically.
 Script present at the top right corner is balanced by the small element and antlers of animal
on the left side.
