My SMART Goals

Having goals is important to accomplish or achieve personal wants and desires. I have

listed 4 goals, 2 short-term and 2 long-term, that I have planned out for my life. These goals pertain

to my future professional career and follow the SMART criteria of specific, measurable, attainable,

realistic, and timely. They are important to me because they help me map out what I want to do

with my nursing career and give me guidance for the steps I should take.

Short-term Goals:

 Start my nursing career by obtaining a job at a hospital within 5 months-time.

 Work a stable nursing job for at least 2 years.

Long-term Goals:

 Become involved with Community Health nursing 5 years from now.

 Decide after 4 to 5 years of working as a nurse whether or not I want to purse becoming a

Nurse Practitioner.
