WHY THIS TOPIC?
• We wanted to know if GPA was affected by what college students are in.

• We wanted to see if their was a correlation between GPA & time spent doing work
outside of class.

• We wanted to observe if time management skills had any correlation with GPA.

• We wanted to see if there was any connection between grade level and GPA.
OUR DATA

Students in science based colleges


tended to have lower G.P.A.’s versus
students in humanities based colleges
who tended to have higher G.P.A.’s.

On average there is a tendency


correlated with better time
management skills being
attributed to higher GPAs.

ANALYSIS
• The more time spent out of class studying, has no correlation with a higher GPA.

• Students in Barrett, the Honors College tended to have a 3.9 GPA on average.

• GPA tends to drop among upper-classmen, with freshman having the highest average
GPA.

• Students in science based colleges tended to have lower GPAs versus students in
humanities based colleges who tended to have higher GPAs.
