Lesson Plans Week Two

Name of the lesson plan- scholastic book packet, it was over the parts of a tomato plant.

Objectives- to understand the parts of a tomato plant

Ages- 5-6

Materials- scholastic book packet, promethean board

Time- 1:45-2:15ish

Introduction- Tell them we are going to learn about a tomato plant, there’s also a video you can watch
that talks about the packet.

Instructions- asking the students what they know about tomato plants and about plants in general and
watch the video.

Closure- asking what they learned and went over what we talked about

Assessment- the comprehension questions on the back page, it just asks a couple questions.

Summary- we talked about how each part works and what they are there for.

Goals- to follow along as it reads it to them, to identify the different parts of a plant and copy the words
from the board to their paper without getting behind.
