T: hello please introduce yourself

F: Hi, Today I'm here to talk about me, my name is Jenifer Fiorella Chauca Quispe I am 20
years old I am from Cusco from Peru so I am Peruvian I live in samanez Ocampo with my
parents.
I am student, I study environmental engineering at Universidad Tecnológica de los Andes
Abancay.

I am studying the 7th and 8th semester of my career.

My favorites subjects is Ecology Biology and conservation so when I finish my studies I hope to
develop my knowledge’s in this subjects to improve my backgrounds.

T: Well why do you study environmental engineering

F: Thank you for asking, I study environmental engineering because in the school I belonged to
the ecological brigades, in which they gave informative talks about recycling and the impact
on the environment, so I became interested in the environment and ways of how to take care
of it . That's why I looked for something related to science, mathematics and the
environment.

Climate change has left its mark on Peru and the world, causing the loss of thousands of
hectares of forest, floods, droughts, melting glaciers, and species extinctions. At the same
time, cities are constantly growing, a factor that increases pollution

In this way, the environmental engineering career provides prior knowledge, so in the future,
propose technologies, mechanisms, alternatives and sustainable solutions to try to avoid
environmental contamination. There are doctors for people, I want to be an environmental
doctor.

T: what do you think about environment care in Abancay?

F: In my opinion, from the skirts of the National Shrine of the Ampay to the Pachachaca
River, the contamination is evident, the garbage in each of these places is a threat.

The care of the environment in the city of Abancay is not important for the authorities, they
should propose measures to combat informal activities such as scrap, respect urban planning,
invest in green areas, promote the use of clean technologies, recycling between others.

The pollution is due to the final poor disposal of solid waste, the times of the rivers, the loss of
plants, animals and pollution of the resource, the growth of the fleet of vehicles, the issue of
forests and all this is it owes to the growth and development of the city.

Although the city of Cuba is not as big as other cities, the impact of the environment is lower
compared to other cities.
