Flow of Story

The Sure Shorts

We begin the film in a lecture hall of a gothic structured medical college. The look will be
retro to indicate past events and give a nostalgic feel. We will establish and differentiate the
visuals of present and memories using two different colour tones. We see a professor giving
lecture in a classroom in mid long shot, as we leave the professor we track left and see
younger Pillai and Singh as medical students sitting in the class. We cut to early 20s Pillai,
who is extremely engrossed in the lecture and continuously taking notes. Singh is sitting on
his left on the same bench and looks bored with the lecture. After seeing Pillai’s unbroken
attention Singh becomes mischievous. He stealthily takes out a syringe full with water from
his bag and crosses his hands while holding the syringe on his right hand, so that Pillai can’t
see the syringe. Then he presses the syringe with utmost accuracy and the water drops fall
on Pillai’s head. Pillai gets distracted from the lecture and look up and around to find the
source. Singh with his quick action hides the syringe and behaves as if he is very attentive to
the lecture. Not finding the source Pillai shifts to his right a little to avoid further distraction
and starts taking notes again. Professor continues his lecture. Singh now leans back a little
and puts his right hand with the syringe on the bench and presses the syringe. This time the
water travels through the air and lands on Pillai’s notes. As he is writing with ink pen, some
of written words get disfigured because of the water. Pillai gets distracted again and makes
an angry and dissatisfaction noise from his mouth, which attracts attention of the whole
class including the professor. Singh once again with his swift movement hides the syringe
and looks at Pillai, as if Pillai is disturbing the whole class. Professor gives an angry look to
Pillai and gestures him enquiring ‘what’s the matter’. Pillai shakes his head and says ‘Water’.
Professor asks him to concentrate on his studies. Puzzled Pillai nod his head. Professor starts
his lecture once again. Baffled Pillai shifts to his right again. Lecture continues, now Singh
takes the syringe on his left hand and stretches it in the front beside the desk. He pulls off
his syringe prank once again and this time water fall on Pillai’s face. Pillai doesn’t notice that
he is almost on the verge of the bench; with surprise and shock his sudden movement
makes him fall on the ground with a loud noise. Professor stops his lecture, whole class look
at Pillai as if he is crazy. For disturbing the lecture, professor ask Pillai to leave the class.

We see Pillai sitting on the ground and looking at the camera, we cut with transition (time-
lapse) to a framed class photo of the same professor with young Pillai, Singh and other
students. Camera pans right, to reveal Singh laughing uncontrollably sitting in Pillai’s cabin.
Pillai sits on his chair with a perplexed face. Dr. Pillai says ‘‘on the first day of the semester I
got punished for no reason. I still wonder where the water came from.’’ Singh smiles and
takes a syringe with water and then presses it. Water falls on Pillai’s face. Pillai look at Singh
with wonder. Dr. Singh says “You still wonder where the water came from.”Dr. Pillai replied
“You!!! You did that?”. Pillai’s eyes wide open with surprise. Dr. Singh says “you have to
admit that… I was fast…!. Now Dr. Pillai also smiles. Singh continues”… almost as fast as…”
Now we cut to super of RAZO, ‘Be’ and ‘Sure’ with super below: For fast Acidity control. We
cut back to Dr. Pillai’s cabin. Dr. Singh gets up from his chair. Dr. Singh says “Ok, See you
later.” As Dr. Singh turns, Dr. Pillai presses the water full of syringe and the water fall on
Singh’s head. Dr. Singh falls for the prank and looks up. Moments later he turns back,
realizing that it’s Pillai who sprayed the water. Dr. Singh says “so Dr. Pillai., You’ve also
become fast, huh!”. They laugh.
