Organization Design
Creating my Campus Problem Proposal was a little difficult. I had trouble getting information
from the UNM Facilities Management, in which I contacted by phone and through email. Both
of the calls were never answered. I was able to interview a few people with dogs on campus
which I noted within my discussion post. Coming up with my proposal idea was easy because I
am a dog owner myself. I see people on campus with dogs and I think of how great it would be
to bring my dog as well.

Project Planning
I started with organizing my duties according to the structure within the assignment. I went to
the campus to investigate where all the current pet waste stations were. I took pictures and
sorted them to the sections upon my paper. I downloaded a campus map to indicate where the
potential stations would be installed. I made sure they were located next to a trash can that is
already installed within the area. After researching and taking pictures of the current pet waste
stations located at the Duck Pond, I went online to research the identical station. I estimated
the cost of each station and supplies required.

Project Analysis
I interviewed a few dog owners. One was an owner of a service dog and the other were
students that had their dog as a pet. I do believe that I received both views on the current
problem of not enough pet stations. I also researched information on Pet Policies regarding
animals on campus. I found policies and procedure targeted only to service animals. I believe
that getting people’s attention regarding this problem will result in a healthier climate for all to
enjoy.
