Greetings!

Our project on Catch-per-unit-effort and Catch Composition of Capture Practices

in Davao Gulf-Compostela Valley Area is now on its implementation stage.

One of the series of activities to be undertaken is the training of enumerators and

fisherfolks on Fishing gears, Fish identification, Boats and Catch monitoring. The training
aims to educate the enumerators and fisherfolks the importance of the updating and
regular monitoring of fisheries data. Moreover, this activity is also a way to ensure that
proper monitoring procedure on fishing gears, fish identification, fishing, boats and catch
will be followed to come up with reliable results. We intend to conduct our training on
August 19-20,2017 at Purok….., Barangay Cuambog, Mabini, Compostela Valley.

In line with this, may we ask permission from your good office to allow us to conduct
the training in your barangay on the said date with the participation of about 15 resident
fisherfolks.
