My assignment was to sort checks and vouchers like the previous weeks along with general
banking, due the absenteeism of few bank employees. They are in obligatory vacation. By
now I have been doing the same work I was doing the whole past month. Only room for
learning at this point was specialising. I could now finish up my work relatively faster and
earlier.

Learned to work under pressure with a deadline looming over one’s head. Since the work did
not require creative input it wasn’t as difficult, but an arduous task nonetheless.

I spent most of the week working with my supervisor. During work we talked a lot about
each other. Our backgrounds, families and education. It felt good to know that we weren’t
very different people who came for pretty much the same roots.

After working in this department for nearly a month, one thing became very evident; the
employees were very frustrated with the BankUltimus interface. The BankUltimus interface
is a communication interface between all the branches. It seemed to me that the interface had
lots of glitches and it took a lot of time to log in to the system.

Beside working under pressure and constantly requiring finding a spot to sit and work on, it
was just another day at the office.
