68REP3 : Reforestation committee approved a bill earlier this week requiring

69 :LGUs and national agencies to plant trees in specified areas. The house

70 :bill no. 4002, also known as the Greening Act of 2016, mandates the

71 :planting of trees in urban and other areas where certain species of trees

72 :can thrive. According to Villanueva, the DENR also support the house bill

73 :which has 293 nurseries distributed all over the country to provide

74 :seedlings nationwide. The bill will prohibit the cutting of trees without

75 :permission.
