Teaching Practice Task 3: Noting Teaching and

Learning Strategies

Week: 1 24 – 28 Feb
Day 1: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Simplest Form Fractions

Strategy: technology /teacher use white board to show them who to make the fraction
in simplest form /all students see they example because is was front of them and she
the teacher wrote in bold handwriting.
Day 2:

Day 3: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Compare and Order Fractions

Strategy: She use Alligator strategy to teach comparing fractions, for example she says
the alligator will eat the big number.

Day 4: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Mixed Numbers

Strategy: Group work, she gives each group 5 questions and she say when you finish
your group will get 5 point. She motivation the children to work.

Week: 2 3 – 7 Mar
Day 1: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Improper Fractions

Strategy: In this lesson I use timer to organize my lesson. I put timer front of me for
example I 15 min for modelling when the time finished, I move to centres.

Day 2: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Add and Subtract Numbers

Strategy: Drawing picture /Low level students draw pictures to help them to add and
subtract the numbers.

Day 3: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Multiply Fractions


Strategy: Grouping / in this lesson for my classroom management strategy I use
grouping I grouped they students and I give them activity to done it in group and them
wiener get starts. The students were competing to win and get the stars.
Day 4: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: Place Value through tenths
Strategy: Place value chart, this chart will help students to add the decimals in the right
way for example add the ones together than add the tenths together.

Day 5:
Strategy: Social issue /Sport day
