    Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria.
    Chloramphenicol drugs are usually also used as eye drops to treat conjunctivitis
    (red eyes).The following are the information, side effects, benefits or functions of
    the chloramphenikol drug.

    1. Name: chloramphenicol

    Trade name: Chloramphenicol IV, Chloromycetin.

    Class: Antibiotics

    Preparations:

    250 mg capsules

    125 mg syrup (every 5 ml)

    1% eye ointment

    eye tets 0.5% and 1%

    1% ear drops
