Step I: Access to Google Docs.


Goal: Given a computer with internet access, learners will be able to successfully access the inter-
net browser and navigate to drive.google.com.

Step 1: Go to docs.google.com and log into your Google account.


Step 2: Click on the colorful cross icon on the left side of the computer screen to create a new
Google doc.
Step 3: Click in the top-left “Untitled document” box, type in a Title for your google doc and press
“Enter”.

Step II: Type and format texts in Google Docs.

Goal: With the google doc opened and titled, learners, will be able to choose a text format for their
google document by selecting “ the font box, font size box and text color box” on the toolbar,
clicking on the format of their choice correctly.

Step 1: Type your text into the google doc


Step 2: Select the texts you want to format
Step 3: You can change the text font, size and color by clicking the font box, font size box and text
color box.

Step III: Insert an image in a Google doc

Goal: Learners will be able to input images into a google document successfully.

Step 1: Click to insert the mouse pointer in the document where the image will be placed.
Step 2: Click “Insert > Image > Search the web” from the toolbar. Type the desired image search
in the search window, and press “Enter”.
Step 3: Select the desired image with the mouse pointer, click the desired image so a “checkmark”
appears in the top left corner of the desired image. Click “INSERT” at the bottom.

Step IV: Insert hyperlinks in Google Docs

Goal: Learners will be able to insert a hyperlink into a Google document.

Step 1: Select the text you want to make a hyperlink.


Step 2: Select “Insert > Link” from the Google doc menu.
Step 3: Paste the link into the open edit Link dialog box. Click “Apply”.
