We celebrated Science Exhibition day on 28th of February. You know that on this day the Raman
Effect was discovered by Sir. C V Raman. Our D E O was the chief guest. He inaugurated the programme. We
displayed various exhibits. The D E O appreciated us after observing all the exhibits. He congratulated our
science teacher and our headmaster for their efforts. I exhibited a solar power project which was appreciated
by all.

Science Exhibition held at Z.P.H. School, Pothuru


NEWS TODAY: March 1, 2017

Students of the Z.P.H. School, Pothuru of Guntur Rural Mandal conducted a science exhibition at the
school on Tuesday. Students from 6th to 10th put up an array of exhibits at exhibition organised in the school
auditorium.
There were a number of working models on display as part of the exhibition. One among them was a
model depicting a modern form of water recycling.
Some of the models were notable. One of them was a model of an Electrostatic Smoke Precipitator
made by Siddhardha, a Class X student. The model consisted of a battery connected to a chimney-shaped
tube. When fire is lit to a wire at one end, the smoke enters inside the tube and later precipitates.
Earlier the district educational officer inaugurated the exhibition. He observed all the models and
praised the students and the teachers for their efforts.

Chandra Sekhar who was also known as Chintu was born on 23 March, 1991 at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
He joined in IIT Kharagpur to study B.Tech. He went to USA in 2012. He started a cell phone manufacturing
company at Hyderabad in 2014. He gave employment to 200 people. The Prime Minister Mr. Modi praised
him. His slogan is Birth in India and death in India.

Once there was a flower seller. On he went to the king’s palace to offer flowers to the king. But the soldier at
the gate told him that he could not go in. The flower seller pleaded him to allow him to meet the king. Then
the soldier told him that he would allow him in only if he gave him half of what he would get from the king.
The flower seller had no other option. He agreed and went in. The king liked the flowers. He asked the flower
seller what he wanted. He asked fifty lashes. The king was surprised with the flower seller’s words. Then a
soldier came forward to give him the fifty lashes. Then the flower seller told the king to give twenty five lashes
to the solider outside his court. The king understood what happened. He punished the solider outside his
court and rewarded the flower seller.
