Lesson Plan
I. Description of the class: Class setting of 15 college students with tables of two.
III. Objective: Students will be able to identify tools that will benefit their teaching ability
and lesson plan along with the importance of these tool.
IV. Procedures:
a. State objective: Today we will be studying tools used to improve teaching ability
and lesson plans.
b. Review: In chapter 15 went over standardized testing and how it tests the
teachers. Today we will see how we can assess ourselves as teachers.
c. Modeling: With a use of the video demonstrating the value of improving your
teaching.
d. Guided Practice: Students will get into groups of 4 and share what they have
learned throughout the lesson and how it applies to them as teachers.
e. Independent Practice: Students will be taking notes and reviewing them as the
lesson is being taught.
VI. Group Structure: Students will be in groups of 4 to discuss what they have learned and
how they will be applied for the classroom.
VII. Modifications: Accommodations will be made according to the students IEP. For a
student who is hard of hearing I will provide a more detailed printed out PowerPoint of
the lesson to follow along.
VIII. Assessment: Continually asks questions throughout the lesson plan to ensure grasping of
the concept using ABCD cards.
IX. Closer: Go over any points that still may need clarifications after the assessment. Ensure
all students grasp the concepts given. Begin transition into next lesson with front
loading.
