THE IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING A LENGUAGE

1.1 What communication problem did you find between the two parties?

Answer: The problem was in the erroneous interpretation on the part of the Spanish

announcers, case that was not seen in the English men, the English was spoken to perfection

on the part of them.

On the other hand, Spanish speakers believed they heard their own interpretation of what was

said by the aforementioned, creating words never before said, implying horrible knowledge

of the language.

1.2 Was the information given by the speakers correct? Justify your answer

Answer: Of course not, they misinterpret the words spoken by the Londoners, even omitting

certain words, and in other cases adding new sentences that were never said. The Spanish

speakers intuited according to their own language, based on the understanding of their mother

tongue as an English language.

1.3 List other similar situations that you know where this is presented problem
1. When asked the time.
2. By mentioning the name of the musical group.
3. When they mention their names.
4. By saying how they met as a musical group.
5. When they asked for the manager
1.4 What do you conclude from this situation?
Answer: first of all I concludes that the Spanish speakers do not have the remotest idea

about the English language, the interpretation given is intuitive indole, do not make the

greatest effort to try to give an accurate translation.

This is very important when it comes to learning a new language, we intuit according to

our own language without being aware that there is a great difference between languages.

Most people want to learn a language without even having learned the mother tongue. I

believe that the importance of learning a language lies mainly in learning first the native

language in order to learn a foreign language.
