AIM: Design of a Motion Sensor
APPARATUS REQUIRED:
1. Solderable Copper Pad Perf-Board
2. Transistor
3. Connecting Wires
4. Diode
5. Relay
6. Resistor(1KΩ)
7. Motion Detector using PIR Sensor
8. Bulb

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:

Fig: Schematic diagram of a Motion Sensor

THEORY:
Passive infrared motion detector (PIR) detect emitted energy given off by
Humans and Animals in the form of heat. When there is a sudden increase in
infrared energy, a bulb is lighted.
This is basically a home usable motion sensor, that can be used to detect
the presence of mice, rats, cats and insects. The sensor can be kept in any crack
or holes and the bulb can be placed in a place where it is easily visible.

CONCLUSION:
The motion sensor is designed in the copper board with the help of
transistor, diode, resistor. The bulb glows whenever any heatsource is brought in
the proximity of the PIR sensor.
