To Ms.Downey, a teacher I owe more than just a thank you too. We have 35 days of a

school left before I graduate and I may never see you again. Or Maybe I will, preferably as an

adult with my shit together. Who knows.

You’ve literally seen me grow from a sophomore little girl to a young adult ready to start

her life. I wonder how many times I've gone into your classroom with my problems, and last

minute assignments I need help with. The boy I met my sophomore year whos still in my life

who I'm sure you thought was probably going to last a couple of months. The time I got my

scissor priveledges taken away, and getting suspended. However, I put all that to rest. Then

started a career, plot twist I'm about to start a family instead.

You get my point, I appreciate you listening to me, giving me good advice and having

patience with me throughout basically most of my high school when I was most vulnerable.

Without realizing it you were a mother figure, maybe not even just to me but other kids here. It

has a strong impact on us and I’m sure I'm not the only one whos grateful you were there to help

and listen when no one else would. It’s actually really funny to me that it was your first year

teaching and you were brand new and all of a sudden there's a teenage girl crying in your room

about her problems. I remember asking you how long you had been here and you were like,

“Umm this is my first year”. Good memories. Well, I have plans to visit you in the future and see

how your doing, maybe you'll have a new Bella and Julian in your class. This is not a goodbye

forever, because we will still be in the same radius, just doing life differently. I look up to you

and I hope I'm there for someone like you were for me someday. Thankyou Ms.Downey.
