MAINTAIN A CULTURE OF COLLEGE READINESS
WITH RESOURCES FOR HIGH SCHOOLS
Dear Educators:

The College Board recognizes the challenges involved in maintaining a culture

of college readiness in your schools, and every year we produce a new set of

valuable counseling resources that are among the most trusted in the industry.

We hope they will prove useful to both you and your students.

The College Board is launching a redesigned SAT® in March 2016, as well as a

redesigned PSAT/NMSQT® and PSAT™ 8/9 in October 2015 and PSAT™ 10 (which

is the same program as the PSAT/NMSQT) in the spring of 2016. Closely aligned

to challenging classroom work, the redesigned assessments will focus on what

evidence shows matters most for college and career readiness. To support student

practice, an all-new The Official SAT Study Guide™ has been created, including four

new practice SAT exams compiled from actual test items selected from the official

item pool.

As always, the 2016 editions of our annual college guides, such as the College

Handbook and Book of Majors, will help open the doors to your students’ college

search; and the newly revised editions of The College Application Essay and Get It

Together for College will steer students through the college application process.

We are also pleased to offer aids to help students discover available funding

options and explore the possibility of credit through exam, as well as the 7th

edition of the College Counseling Sourcebook to help new counselors with

support and tips from other college counseling professionals.

We look forward to supporting your efforts in guiding all students along the path to

success in college.

Sincerely,

The College Board
