ORDER

In the reference 1st read above, the Government of Andhra Pradesh

while streamlining the Tender procedure and based on the
recommendations of Cabinet Sub-Committee issued orders vide
G.O.Ms.No.94, I & CAD Dept., dt: 01.07.2003 in which the Bid Capacity is
prescribed as per the formula 2AN-B where

A: Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any

one year during the last five years(updated....* price
level) taking in to account the completed as well as works
in progress.

N: Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for

which tenders are invited.

B: Value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be

completed during the period of completion of works for
which tenders are invited.

2. In the reference 2nd & 3rd read above, the Government of Andhra
Pradesh has issued the amendment to experience applicable for
I & CAD Department tenders only.

3. In the reference 4th read above, the Builders Association of India, AP

Centre has requested for revision of calculation of Bid Capacity in tenders
as 4AN-B instead of 2AN-B.

4. In the reference 5th read above, the Government has forwarded the
representation of the Builders Association to the Engineer-in-Chief
(Irrigation), Vijayawada with request to furnish his remarks in the matter
to Government for taking further action.

5. In the reference 6th read above, the Engineer - in - Chief

(Irrigation), Vijayawada has reported that, the representation of Builders
Association of India regarding revision of calculation of Bid capacity of
tenders as 4AN-B instead of 2AN-B was placed before the Board of Chief
Engineers (BOCE) meeting held on 05.10.2016. The committee
recommended for amendment to the evaluation of bid capacity from
2AN-B to 3AN-B with respect to works taken up by Water Resources
Department only.

6. Government after careful examination of the recommendation of the

Board of Chief Engineers (BOCE) meeting held on 05.10.2016 hereby
issue the following amendment to Para 11 (a) Bid Capacity of Annexure-I
to G.O.Ms.No. 94, I & CAD ( PW- COD) Deptt., dated: 01.07. 2003.

7. This amendment is applicable only for all the works to be taken up by

8. The Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Vijayawada shall take necessary

action in the matter, accordingly.

9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance ( FMU- WR.II)
