of copper is 9.0 x 103 kg m-3, and its atomic mass is 63.5u. Take Avogadro’s number = 6.0x1023 mol-1.
(b) Compare the drift speed obtain above with (i) thermal speeds of copper atoms at ordinary temperatures, (ii)
speed of electrons carrying the current and (iii) speed of propagation of electric field along the conductor which
causes the drift motion.
