PART 1: INSTALLATION

2. Mount
a. Remove the screws on the back and the front part of the mount - (See
figure below)
b. Place the rubber shim based on the size of the handlebar - (See figure
below)
c. Keep the bottom part of the mount in line with the shim.
d. Now place the top part of the mount, and screw the front bolt 4
times.
e. Then screw the back bolt 5 times.
f. Now adjust the angle of the mount such that the rider can see the
Display Module properly.
g. Now, screw the back and front of the mount alternately till the
mount is firmly placed.

PART 2: INSTALLING THE MAXIMUSPRO MOBILE
APPLICATION

II. Download “MaximusPro” from Google Play Store or Apple
App Store

III. Swipe right to left on the phone screen to know about the
features of MaximusPro application and then click on
‘DONE’ to go to the ‘Permissions’ page.

IV. You will be prompted to grant MaximusPro application
access to your smartphone features like contacts, camera,
etc.
This is an Android and iOS requirement and cannot be
reduced to a ‘single click’.
Please grant access by clicking ‘ALLOW’.

V. Click on the Blue Colored ‘Log in with Facebook’ bar to
login to the application using your Facebook account.
VI. As of now, a Facebook account is mandatory for login so
as to provide you with better service.
If you do not have a Facebook account, request please
create a new one and use those Login credentials.

PART 3: PAIRING THE DISPLAY MODULE WITH THE
MOBILE APPLICATION
a) Power on – Please long press the button at the bottom of the Display
Module for 5 seconds. You should see the following screens.
PS: To successfully pair the Display Module with the Smartphone application,
please refer to Pairing Sequence mentioned below in point c

• Wait for 1 min to see if the pairing is successful.
• If the Pairing is not successful within 1 minute, then the screen will
switch back to ‘Hello let’s pair’ screen
c) Pairing Sequence
Now you are ready to pair the Display Module and the Phone.
I. Click on the button at the bottom of the Display Module (On the mobile
application, it is referred to as ‘DM’)
II. Click on the ‘PAIR
III. DISPLAY’ button on the application.
IV. Click on ‘CONTINUE’.

For iOS Application, you will see the following screens:

V. Now scan the QR code displayed on the Display Module through the mobile
application.
VI. Check the notification tray for Bluetooth pairing request and accept it. (For
some phones, the Notification for the Bluetooth request comes on the
screen while for some others, it comes in the phone’s notification bar).

VII. Click on ‘PAIR’ to give permission to the Phone to start the pairing process
with the Display Module

VIII. You will now receive a second request for Bluetooth pairing which will
either be on-screen or in your phone’s notification bar.
IX. Enter the 6 digit pin that you see on the Display Module screen and click on
‘OK’.
NOTE: For Android, First request is to scan the QR code—to ensure it is pairing
with the right phone
Second is to check the PIN –to ensure it is pairing with the right connection.

X. Wait for few seconds.
(On the mobile application, Display Module is referred to as ‘DM’)

XI. You have now completed the pairing of the Display Module

d) Verify your mobile number –
I. Click on ‘Verify Number’
II. Enter your mobile number and click on ‘SEND OTP’.

III. You have successfully verified your Mobile Number.

PART 4: MOUNTING THE DISPLAY MODULE ON THE
BIKE
1. Attach the mount on your bike’s handle bar.
2. Place the Display Module on the screw head.
3. Align the Display Module towards yourself.
4. Rotate the silver knob on the mount counterclockwise, to secure
the Display Module in place.

PART 5: SETTING UP THE DISPLAY MODULE
1. Startup: To switch ON the Display Module, press at the center of the
Display Module button for 1 second (You can find this button at the
bottom of the Display Module).
3. Backlight:
a. The backlight turns ON automatically during dawn/twilight (5:30
AM to 7:30 AM & 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM) & at night (7:30 PM to
5:30 AM). (To conserve the Display Module battery, it does not
turn ON during day time – 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM).
b. After twilight or before end of dawn, you can increase the
intensity of the backlight by pressing the display module button
thrice, in quick succession. After 15 seconds, the screen will go
back to original intensity.
4. Settings: To get into the Settings Menu of the Display Module, double
press the Display Module button within 1 second, in quick succession.

a) To switch between the screens of the Display Module, short press on
Display Module button by releasing the button within 0.5 second.
Double press the Display Module button within 1 second to unpair from the
phone.
This screen will appear when you have successfully unpaired your phone

II. Display Module Battery Level – You can see the current battery level
of your Display Module.
5. Alerts

a. To enter the Alerts screen on the Display Module, double press
the Display Module button within 1 second in quick succession.
PLEASE NOTE: - This option is not available when you are on the ‘Settings’
screen. If you are in ‘Settings’, please exit ‘Settings’ by selecting ‘Cancel’
from the ‘Settings’ menu.

c. To send any of the alerts (to your fellow riders), double press
Display Module button within 1 second each in quick succession.

II. After the Alert has been sent, it will take you to the ‘Alert
Sent’ screen.
IV. When your alert is not sent (due to weak connectivity), you
will see the below screen. Keep trying in this case.

6. Ride Info Screen:
a. Start with the mobile application.
b. Visit a planned ride on ‘My Rides’ Tab
c. Select and open any planned ride.
This will lead to the ride information being displayed on the Display
Module.
d. The first half of the screen shows the start and stop destinations with the
total time and total distance. (An example of the same is given below)
e. The Second half of the screen shows the next planned stop in the ride.
(An example of the same is given below)
7. Navigation screen:

f. This will lead to the Navigation instructions being displayed on the Display
Module.
g. This screen replaces the Ride info screen once the ride has started.
Information about the imminent turn and the turn after that is displayed.

9. Point Of Interest Reached – This screen comes when you have
reached a destination point that you have set.

PART 6: APPLICATION USAGE
1. My Rides:
a. To access this page click on the ‘My Rides’ tab under ‘Menu’.

b. This screen shows all your planned rides and all the rides you have
joined.
c. Click on any of the rides to see the details of that ride
d. Click on the ‘Share’ icon to share this ride with other MaximusPro
riders.

2. Ride planning
a) Go to the ‘PLAN A RIDE’ tab on the Mobile Application.

b) Click on ‘Starting point’ to enter the starting location.

c) Next click on the ‘Choose Destination’ to enter your destination

d) Now select the desired route. The number of alternatives shown will be
dependent on the routes available in Google Maps database.

e) Once the desired route is selected then click on the orange arrow (at the
bottom right corner as shown below) to proceed to the next step.

f) Click on ‘Ride Title’ to enter a title for your Ride.
Entering a title is mandatory

g) Click on the camera (shown below) to put a picture for your Ride. If you do
not want to put a picture, the Ride will be assigned a default picture.

h) The dates are auto-populated with the current date.
i) To change the start date, click on the arrow next to it & select a Start Date
for your ride.

j) To change the End date, click on the arrow next to it & select an End Date
for your ride.

k) As per default setting, your ride is set to Private.
l) To make your ride Public, toggle the button next to it.
By making your ride Public, fellow riders will be able to see your ride and
join it or copy it.

m) Click on ‘Save Ride’ to proceed to the next step.

n) Now click on the ‘Fuel’ icon to add fueling stations along your route.

o) Now click on any of the ‘Fuel station’ icons and then click on the ‘ADD’
button to add them onto your ride plan.
p) Similarly click on the ‘Restaurant’ icon to add food stops along your route
and ‘Hotel’ icon to add places to stay along your route.

q) Once all the required points are added, then click on the ‘Tick’ to see all the
stops. (As shown in the image below)

r) Once all the required stops are added then click on ‘green arrow’ to save
your ride.
Your planned ride will now be visible on the ‘MY RIDES’ tab.

3. Ride logs
a) Once a ride has been completed, both planned and AD-HOC, the
details of the ride will be available on the ‘Ride Log’ page.
b) To Access this page, click on ‘Menu’.

c) Click on ‘Ride Log’

d) All of the rides that you have taken so far will be listed on this page.

e) Tap on any Ride Card to view more information about that ride.

f) Tap on the ‘Share’ button to share a screenshot of the ride.

g) Tap on the ‘Edit’ button to change the name of the ride.

i) By clicking on ‘SPEED’ we can get more information about the speed
of the ride.
I. Speed graph of the ride.
II. Top speed attained during the ride.

j) Tapping at any point of the speed graph will give you the Speed
information at that point and the map shows the corresponding
location on the route

k) The Ride Card also shows the stickers you have achieved during the
ride.

4. My Achievements
a. This page shows you all the stickers you have achieved during all your
rides.
b. To access this page click on the ‘Menu’ icon.
c. Then click on ‘My Achievements’

d. The Stickers that are highlighted are the ones that you have
achieved.
e. The ones that are not highlighted are the ones that you are yet to
achieve.

5. Current ride
a) Click on the ‘Menu’
b) Click on ‘Current Ride’

c) ‘Current Ride’ page (shown below) shows you the details of your present
ride.

d) ‘ROUTE’ tab shows the entire planned route with all the stops and other
details like fueling stations, hospitals and police stations along the route
that you have planned.

e) ‘MY CLUB’ tab shows all the riders who have signed up for the ride.

6. My Profile and emergency contact
a) Click on the ‘Menu’
b) Click on your Display Picture to go to your profile.
c) This page shows all the information related to you.

d) Click on the ‘Edit’ icon to change any of the information listed on this page.

e) Phone number: Please save your number (in the box shown below) so that
you can receive alerts and other messages (from your fellow riders).

f) Top Contacts: These are the contacts that will receive regular information
about your location and other emergency information.

g) Share location during the Ride: Choose this tab if you want to share your
location information with the emergency contacts during the ride.
Please note that your location information will be shared with these contacts in
case of an emergency. A link to track your position will be sent which is updated
in real-time.

h) Bike Make: Please select the Brand of your bike. E.g. - Royal Enfield
i) Bike Model: Please select the Model of your bike. E.g. - Thunderbird 350
j) Please select the ‘Registration Month’ and ‘Registration Year’ from the
drop down list.
k) Click on ‘SAVE’ option once you are done making all the changes.

7. Bike battery
a) Click on the ‘Menu’
b) Select ’My Bike’

c) Here you can see the health of your bike’s battery.
d) This screen below shows your bike’s battery voltage during ‘Ignition On’
period.

e) The other tab shows your bike’s Battery Voltage during ‘Ignition Off’
period.

8. Ad-hoc ride
a) Click on the ‘Ride Now’ tab on the Screen
b) Start the ride by tapping and holding the start bar till the progress bar
has completed left to right traverse and the ‘Start’ button changes to
‘Stop’.
The timer will start once the bike start moving from the ‘Start position’

c) Click on ‘Upgrade Display Module’.

d) Make sure that all the requirements are met and all the arrows are
green (as shown below).

e) If any of the following requirements are not met (as shown below)
then you will not be able to upgrade the Display Module.
f) Click on ‘UPGRADE’.
g) Wait until the application says ‘Display Module upgrade process
completed’.
h) Please restart both, your mobile application and Display Module to
use the updated software.

PART 7: ISSUES
2. Pairing
Please make sure your Location Services, Bluetooth and Internet
Connectivity (Wi-Fi / Mobile data) are switched on.

a) Application shows ‘Unable to connect to Display Module. Please check
Bluetooth on Smartphone
I. Make sure your data connectivity is active and location is turned on
II. Then restart the Display Module and re-launch the application.
III. Try to pair again.
IV. If you are still unable to pair, kill the application and switch to
‘Airplane Mode’ on your phone & then restart the Display Module.
V. Once the Display Module has restarted - Exit ‘Airplane Mode’, Switch
on Location Services, Bluetooth and Data Services and try pairing
again.

I. Please check if the Bluetooth, Location & Internet of your phone are
switched ON.
II. Open the application and go to the ‘Settings Menu’ and check the
status of the Bluetooth.

ii. If icon is yellow, then it means your phone is not connected
but paired -
• In this case, wait for 1 min and check if the pairing happens
now.
• If not, click on the “Unpair” button on the mobile application
and double press the Display Module button within 1 second
and come back to ‘Hello let’s pair’ screen.
• Then pair both the application and the Display Module again as
described in section x

• If not, click on the ‘UNPAIR’ button on the mobile
application and follow the instructions on the Display
Module. It will bring the Display Module to the following
‘Hello let’s pair’ screen.

II. Make sure you click on the notification twice and enter the valid pin
which is displayed on the Display Module.
III. If an invalid passkey (PIN) is entered, the process gets cancelled and
you may need to scan the QR code again to pair properly.
(Refer PART 3)

3. Application

b) Route not found
I. This happens when the 2 points (Starting & Destination) do not have
a valid route between them.
II. Please select a valid ‘Start’ and ‘End’ location.

c) Max-in ride progress has been reached
I. For “Android”

iii. Go to ‘MaximusPro’ and select it.

iv. Select the ‘Storage’ tab.

v. Click on ‘Clear data’ button.

vi. Now restart the application and login again.

II. For “iOS”
i. Uninstall the application
ii. Re-Install the application from Apple Store.
I. Step 1 -
i. Close your mobile application (From the recent menu as well)
and then re-launch the application.
ii. Re-connect the Display Module.
iii. If this does not fix the issue, try Step 2.
II. Step 2 -
i. Switch OFF the Bluetooth of your phone.
ii. Kill the application and wait until the Display Module goes to
‘Waiting To Connect’ screen.
iii. Then re-launch the application.
iv. Now switch ON the Bluetooth of the phone.
v. Wait for the Display Module to get auto–reconnected and for
the navigation to start normally.
vi. If this also does not work, please try Step 3.

III. Step 3 -
i. Go to the ‘Settings’ of your phone and switch ON the
‘Airplane’ mode.
ii. Wait till the Display Module goes to ‘Waiting To Connect’
Screen.
iii. Now, switch ON the Bluetooth, Location and Internet Services.
iv. This should solve the Issue.
v. If this does not solve the Issue then please WhatsApp/SMS us
at ‘9158492411’ or e-mail at help@maximuspro.com . We are
available from 9 am to 5 pm on all 7 days.

h) My Display Module is stuck in firmware mode (I switched screens during
Display Module update) –
I. Make sure your phone and Display Module are both charged above
50%.
II. Go to the ‘Menu’ in MaximusPro mobile application
III. Click on ‘My Support’
IV. Click on ‘Display Module Upgrade’
V. Repeat the process (points II - IV) again to complete the Display
Module upgrade.
