Friday 7th June Last week I went with a group of students to the Inter-School Cross
Country competition. I was so proud of our students who all completed
9.10am Whānau Time – Celebration
the course showing great Manawaroa – Resilience. The weather wasn’t
of Learning hosted by Tawhairauriki. great but everyone was in high spirits and gave there best. I was so
proud of them all.
Wednesday 12th June
We also had a group of 8, Year 5/6 students who participated in the
5.30pm Board of Trustees meeting.
Hutt City STEM Challenge. They were great ambassadors for our
school and had a go at every challenge.
Friday 14th June
9.10am Whānau Time – Sharing
Time led by student leaders. This year 40 students are preparing to perform a fierce haka at HuttFest
(PolyFest) festival, tickets for Wednesday 3rd July concert are on sale
Monday 17th June and Tuesday at the school office. It would be great to have whānau cheering our
25th June tamariki on.
9-10am or 11am-12noon
School in Action Day at Hutt
On Friday 14th July whānau are teaching us all the tikanga and history
Intermediate for Year 6 students
of working with Harakeke (flax). You are welcome to join us and learn
and caregivers. To attend please with the students and teachers. We have amazing flax bushes to

As part of our ongoing teaching and learning around PB4L (Postive
Thursday 27th June and Friday 28th Behaviour for Learning) a survey has been completed with our students
June and staff. This was conducted by an outside facilitor who commented

a lovely ‘feel’ to it. Well done.” Our overall score was 96.4%, which is
