Character/Characterization:

MAJOR CHARACTERS:

*Odysseus- King of Ithaca; also known

as Ulysses. The father of Telemachus and the husband of Penelope.

*Polyphemus- the rude and wreck less

giant Cyclops.

MINOR CHARACTERS:

* Odysseus’ Men- Odysseus’ comrades

throughout the journey.

* Lotus-Eaters- the generous and kind of

people from the first island.

* Zeus- the god of gods.

* Cyclops- the other giants.

Summary/Summarization:

It initial part of the story is when they set sail to an island where
they were tempted to eat a flower-like food that is made by the
Lotus-Eaters but surprisingly escaped from them. The main
highlight is when they settled on the island of a giant Cyclops
named Polyphemus, they aggreviated him for they ate his food so he
ate Odysseus’ men. He tricked him by stabbing him, leaning him
blinded and successfully escaped.

Moral Lesson: Be ready for anything that the world will give you.
