My visit to Rajasthan

This year during Durga Puja vacations I went to Rajasthan with my

parents. Rajasthan is the largest state of India. Our journey started from
Dum Dum Airport at Kolkata on 21st Oct. First of all we reached Jaipur
which is the capital city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also known as ‘Pink City’.
In Jaipur we saw some most beautiful monuments of India such as Amber
Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal etc. After Jaipur we went to
Pushkar in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. In Pushkar we saw the Brahma
Mandir, Pushkar Lake and Ajmer Sharif. Ajmer Sharif is the largest
Dargah of India and is world famous. After Pushkar we started our
journey towards Udaipur. While going to Udaipur we visited the Chittor
Fort at Chittorgarh which is the largest fort of India. It was very beautiful
and it was the best fort I have ever seen in my life. Udaipur is also known
as the ‘Lake City’. In Udaipur we saw the Fateh Sagar Lake, City Palace
and Saheliyon ki Bari. After Udaipur we went to Mount Abu which is the
most famous hill station in Rajasthan. In Mount Abu we saw the Om
Shanti Bhawan, Dilwara Temple, Guru Sikhar and sunset point near
Nakki Lake. After Mt. Abu we went to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is also known
as ‘Golden City’ because all the buildings are made with golden
sandstone. At Jaisalmer we saw the Jaisalmer Fort and Patwa Haveli. We
also did the desert safari at Jaisalmer by riding on the camel. After
Jaisalmer we went to Jodhpur or the ‘Blue City’. At Jodhpur we saw the
Mehrangarh Fort and did some shopping. After that we returned to Jaipur
to catch our flight at the airport. By plane we returned to Kolkata and came
to Bardhaman by car on 2nd Nov. Our tour finished but, the sweet
memories of this tour will never be rubbed from my mind.
