My favourite memory [ vacation with my family]

When it comes to memory the first thing which evocs my mind is family. The collective and
deep family bond leads to the creation of connection which is exceptional. Hence i will go on
delineating my best and favourite memory with my family. It was the summer of 2019.
Usually my summers are lazy, mostly spent at home. But that year the case was different. It
was for the first time that plans were made for spending quality time in himachal pradesh in
the hills of simla. Simla is one of the most visited hill stations in India, often called the queen
of hills. The aforementioned is a place of great culture and ethnicity. here, people's way of
life has to be adorned. We were 14 members in total, tickets were booked and packing
commenced. We were finding it difficult to control our feelings, with the hope to live every
movement of the trip. We were to leave for Shimla on 14 july 2019. The night before leaving
, everyone was so restless. Me and my cousins, we made amples of plans for shopping .
Finally, the time came when we reached the station. It was crowded and pervaded with huge
numbers of passengers. The train came after 30 min and our journey had begun. I hail from
mau, a small town near the holy city varanasi, uttar pradesh. Since mau is not a metropolitan
city we had to first go to delhi in order to board a train for kalka. Kalka is a town in Haryana,
situated in the foothills of himalayas. It is mainly famous for its toy train taking passengers to
shimla through the scenic beauty of mountains and cascades. Enjoying the greenery and
mountains through the toy train we finally reached shimla. After one day's rest , the real
adventure began. Hotel provided us with a car for our convenience to visit distinctive places.
We went out to explore different tourist destinations and the first place we visited was kufri.
kufri is a small hill station in simla promising panoramic view of surrounding snow capped
mountains. However, kufri is known as the sports capital of India, wherein adventures like
skating and skiing are performed in winters. It was bad of us that we missed out on snowfall
and adventure of kufri since we visited in the summer month.
The next place we visited was Green Valley, it's a lush green forest of pine and deodar
covering large mountain ranges. Here we clicked many photos in himachal ethanic dress
with ox. Following this, our next visit was to the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, a very
significant place for me being a political science student. It's a historical location where the
decision to create east pakistan and west pakistan was taken. After visiting these places we
rested at night. The following day we visited mall road with a plethora of restaurants,
showrooms, hotels and various other shops of fruit, handicraft and artefacts. Some other
prominent places we visited were the christ church, himachal state museum, jakhoo hill and
temple etc. I believe that places like Shimla are pre-eminent , filled with adventure, where
everyone should visit. Eventually one week in simla passed and the end of this trip was
close. Our return was through flight. We boarded a flight from Chandigarh to varanasi. It was
a familiar site from their onwards to our home . Today when i am remembering that old
memory, my mind still recognizes every place and person as if it was yesterday.
