A week prior we started planning for a trip to the long awaited Azad Kashmir which we had never

visited. Therefore on 27th of July, Wednesday morning we started our journey from our home in
Peshawar. We had already packed our luggage, including several water bottles and most importantly
food , a day before. For a new comer it would have been a difficult to choose a suitable route to his
destination, but it wasn’t really big matter for us. We started by taking the motorway instead of Grand
Trunk road as it was often crowded. Next we followed on the motorway till Burban passing by Rashakai
and Sawabi. After Bhurban we turned towards the motorway leading to Haripur and followed until we
reached Dheem Tor and then turned towords the road which led to Garhi Habeebulah. This time we
passed by Thandiyany and Lohagari . A number of suggestion arose, when we were planning our trip,,
that which cities of Kashmir should be our main target. We settled on visiting Upper Neelum as well as
Sharda followed by Kail of Neelum valley in Kashmir. Eventually we reached Garhi Habeebulah and
turned towards Muzafarabad ,hence at last entering the disputed territory of Kashmir. Now putting
acting upon the plan we decided to spend a night in Upper Neelum as the Sharda was an another two
hour journey from Upper Neelum which we were too tired to take. That afternoon after reaching our
already booked hotel we took a nap of two hours and then decided to have a walk around the place. We
really liked that place which we didn’t expected after listening to our neighbors reviews. We wanted to
spent another night there but we were held back by our plan and the early reopening of our school .
thus after spending the next afternoon in lust green mountains, we set out for Sharda at 3:00 pm. After
two hours journey we reached Sharda and took a nap. In the evening we were stunned by the beauty
of the place and most surprising thing was that there was not even a single spot that was not covered by
greenery. We only had breakfast and diner that day. Next we visited the ancient university of Sharda
and did boating which didn’t came cheap. During such trips we often had two meals a day as we woke
up late in the morning and so had breakfast late leaving no room for lunch. On the third day again set
out for the last tourist attraction of Neelum valley, known as Kail. There first we rode the cable car that
took us to a mountain from which we did hiking for about forty minutes till we reached the top.
Reaching the top felt the greatest accomplishment of our lives as it was real picture of Kashmir we had
seen since we were young. After a few minutes of strolling and exploring the infinite places of the
valley , we realized that it would be such a waste of money to travel abroad just to see this scenery
when you could see this in your own home country. After two hours of enjoying our time in the heavenly
plains we decided tp return to our hotel in Shadra. On the way back, we enjoyed watching the sceneries
to our fullest as we knew that this was our last day in Kashmir. Next we woke up early in the morning
and started our journey towards Islamabad as we had
