Lesson Plan
Objective
The students will learn French folk song Frère Jacques (Are You Sleeping? p. 143, #66) through
singing and performing the piece arco both as written and in round.
Procedure
1. Put their instruments down and do some quick stretches (30 sec.)
2. Sing Frère Jacques in call and response format with the teacher, following along with the

Assessment
