In the event of an External Examiner expressing his/her inability to attend the Viva-Voce
on Internship of a student, it is recommended that a panel of Examiners (from industries)
be sent to the Registrar (Evaluation) for individual candidate, who inturn may approve one
examiner from the panel of examiners submitted. The approval for each student shall be
obtained in writing from the Registrar (Evaluation).
Eligibility for passing:
a. Evaluation of Internship Report and presentation : e Maximum Marks: 75 e Minimum
Marks to be obtained shall be — 38 This shall be treated as Internal Assessment Marks
for Internship.
Scheme for Internal Evaluation
This scheme of evaluation for internship has _ been formulated based on the Graduate
Attributes as mandated by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Evaluation Component Marks allocation Domain Knowledge :_ Engineering; 25 marks
Knowledge/Problem Analysis/Design and Development of solutions/ Investigation of
problem/ Modern tool usage
Soft Skills: Communication/Individual| 25 marks and team work/ Project and resource
management including finance/ Engineer
& society / Environment and sustainability
Discipline & Behaviour 10 marks Report Writing 15 marks Total 75 Marks
2. In case the student does not get the qualifying marks in Viva-Voce, the student shall
reappear for the viva-voce after 02 weeks and before 8 weeks from the date of first
viva-voce.
3. Further, students shall be allowed to submit the project report only after satisfactory
completion of Internship.
Remuneration:
1. There is no remuneration paid by the University for Evaluation Internship report
(OM8.4).
2. Remuneration for the Viva-Voce Examination (OM8.5) for Internal and External
Examiners shall be provided as per VTU norms 1.e. Rs.350/- for each examiner.
