Guild Contribution system.

Hello boys and girls,

As you know, each week we go to new raid, we try our best, we sometimes kill some bosses and
sometimes we wipe all night killing nothing. No matter how good we do in raid, some reagents for raid or
personal buffs are spend. So far guild has always (except on learning tries on new bosses) provided with
raid wide feasts (Bountiful Captain’s Feast or Sanguinated Feast), and it was funded from guild bank gold
or by personal contribution of Mirriti or Edip (don’t worry, we know some of you have, from time to time,
contributed something to the guild, feasts or flasks etc., and we are grateful for those contributions), even
thou, as you have maybe noticed, in last 2-3 months there was no guild tax, nor were you obligated to
contribute anything to the guild, and beside all that a feast would be used every week on every raid after
every wipe.

That said, we are informing you all that we have, in last 30 days, put a lot of thought on how to
make a “good” long term Guild contribution system and came up with few ideas. This change in the
system was caused mainly because of prices of feasts and a goal/wish to avoid being dependent on auction
house and fluctuation of the prices. For an example, at this point, stack of 20 Bountiful Captain’s Feast
costs around 25.000,00 gold (raw reagents are around 18k-20k gold, depends of a week) and at a rate of
feasts consumption we use, we would broke our guild bank in less then 2 months.

Basically, we raid 2 times a week, which is 8 times a month, and on progress weeks we use around
20 Bountiful Captain’s Feasts per raid, which is in total around 160 feasts a month (give or take few
depending how good we do that month). Those 160 Bountiful Captain’s Feasts, if bought on Auction house,
at this current pricing would be around 200.000,00 gold, and our current gold in guild bank is around
350.000,00 gold (Cash flow guild perk provides only up to around 20k per month, so this way of income
can’t provide enough income for all expanses).

Bellow is a table of total reagents needed for those 160 Bountiful Captain’s Feasts (not included
reagents you buy from vendors), which is, all considering, a lot for one or few people to farm during a
month, especially Redtail Loach and Frenzied Fangtooth (which are farmed via fishing).

Redtail Loach 2400

Frenzied Fangtooth 2400
Stringy Loins 2400
Meat Haunch 2400
Aromatic Fish Oil 915
Midnight Salmon 320

Beside Bountiful Captain’s Feasts, we can also use Sanguinated Feast which are crafted if you have
Sanguicell (these, as you know, drop form bosses in Uldir and are BOP), and so we have a problem here
also because even when we (officers so far) use all we have it isn’t enough for long term raiding plan on
providing feast for every raid after every wipe we have. Bellow are reagents required for level 2 and level
3 recipe of Sanguinated Feast (also for 160 feasts for monthly consumption).

Level 3 Reagents Number of reagents Feasts per Month Total

Stringy Loins 15 2400
160
Meaty Haunch 15 2400
Fresh Potato 25 4000
Aromatic Fish Oil 15 2400
Sanguicell 15 2400

Level 2 Reagents Number of reagents Feasts per Month Total

Stringy Loins 18 2880
Meaty Haunch 18 2880
Fresh Potato 28 4480
Aromatic Fish Oil 17 160 2720
Sanguicell 17 2720

As you can see, these numbers of needed reagents for total of 160 feasts (no matter what feast we
use) for a month worth of supply are quite extensive and almost impossible to farm by one or even a few
persons. Because of these reasons guild management has already cut down guild repairs, simply because
guild can’t provide for both feasts and for repairs which can go up to 500 gold a person per raid (if everything
goes wrong), which is a total for a 5k-7k gold per raid night, especially when there is no regular income to
guild bank via materials or gold donations.

Starting from a point that we are all grownups and that we understand basic principal that
everything we use in raids needs to be provided from somewhere, our goal with this post is to encourage
you to make donations to guild bank so we can provide with needed feasts for our raiding, and eventually
if this system works, to do the same with flasks and potions.

That said we have, so far, thought about next few options for all our raiding members to contribute:

Option “A”

- Guild contribution can be done with donating of raw reagents for Bountiful Captain’s Feasts,
but in that case you need to understand that those donations must be meaningful. For example,
donating stack of 20 fish or 20 meat with only 1 Midnight Salmon, for one month contribution,
isn’t and can’t be enough.
- For this kind of donation to have any impact on stacking enough feasts for raiding, per month,
one member/raider should donate at least 200 of each reagent with 77 Aromatic fish oil and at
least 27 Midnight Salmon, which gets us around 13-14 feasts per member donation (If these
numbers seem a bit high, note that these are per month and not per week),
- Note that these numbers of reagents will be regulated as we have more members who are
raiding and also contributing to the guild.
- To help these kind of donations, our Guildmaster Mirriti has already started organizing pre raid
fishing events, that usually last for around 45 minutes, and so far they have managed to farm
around 200 fishes every event and at least 30 Midnight Salmon.

Option “B”

- Guild contribution can be done with donating Sanguinated Feasts, but also, we imply that those
donations be meaningful.
- For this kind of donation to have any impact on stacking enough feasts for raiding, per month,
one member/raider should donate at least 13-14 feasts per month (If these numbers seem a bit
high, note that these are per month and you can do Uldir HC, which drops 10 Sanguicell per
boss, 4 times a month which will get you to total of 320 Sanguicell which is more then enough
for 13-14 feasts),
- Note that these numbers of reagents will be regulated as we have more members who are
raiding and also contributing to the guild.
- To help these kind of donations, we are considering making a guild runs of Uldir HC (or even
mythic – drops on mythic are 20 per boss) to farm Sanguicell, but in that case you need to have
cooking at lvl 125 with at least level 2 recipe for Sanguinated Feast (it doesn’t matter is it your
main or alt).

Option “C”

- Guild contribution can be done with donating any kind of crafted products of any profession,
but also, we imply that those donations be meaningful. For an example, guild contributions can
be done via donating raw reagents (please note that you donate only reagents that can be used
for crafting we need in raiding), enchants, drums, flasks, potions, runes or any other products.
- For this kind of donation to have any impact on stacking enough products or gold that we will
use for raiding, per month, one member/raider should donate at least 5.000 gold worth of
products/reagents (If these numbers seem a bit high, note that these are per month and many
of them can be farmed in few hours – enchanting reagents can be farmed in m+ runs, others
mostly from salvaging gear you collect during a month),
- Notice: If you are a herbalist, guild would appreciate you send raw reagents (herbs) for flasks,
simply because of a proc on crafting flasks, which would improve guild bank eventually on all
kind of flasks, and at end would give as a chance to have Cauldron each raid.
- Note that we, as guild management, keep our right to “flip” those products on Auction House
if we find that guild is overstacked with some products, or/if we have products we don’t need
or can use.

Option “D”

- Guild contribution can be done with donating gold to guild bank, but also, we imply that those
donations be meaningful.
- For this kind of donation to have any impact on stacking enough feasts or other products needed
for raiding (via buying raw reagents), per month, one member/raider should donate at least
5.000 gold (If these numbers seem a bit high, note that these are per month and not per week,
while you have 4 treasure quests per month which award 20.000 gold in total and many other
daily world quests),
- This type contribution is here mainly for those who don’t have the time (because, from time to
time, of real life events) and still want to, as every raider should, contribute to the guild.

Beside these options in guild contribution system, guild management has decided to invoke a new
rule on official raiding runs in guild.

- “All Bind on equip items that drop during a official guild run of any raid tier, if not an
upgrade for a member of a guild, will be deposited in guild bank and sold at best price on
Auction house and gold gained by selling those items will be deposited in guild bank”
- “Member to whom Bind on equip item drops, if an upgrade, has a priority in equipping
that item for himself.”
- “Screenshot of these transactions will be published on Guild news channel on Discord”
We find that this rule should and will help guild bank balance a bit, and if it does we will see that
all raiding members have their repair bills payed by guild, full time, and eventually, if it proves to be really
lucrative, in that case, contributions of all guild members should be less required.

Conclusion

We find that in last few months all of us have created a healthy community within our guild. As a
guild management we find you guys really connect to almost all our raiders, eager to help in mythic + runs,
provide tips and help in general to all guild members, even gear alts, and we are proud to be part of that
kind of community.

So as a guild management of Phobos, our main goal with this new Guild contribution system is to
try to make a system which will, in time, provide all of us with all that we need for raiding, so that none of
us, on raiding days, don’t have to farm or worry ourself with anything (feast, flasks, eventually potions and
runes) except giving our best in raid.

Also our goal is to try to stack enough consumables so all of us could use them even in mythic +10
or higher runs.

Punishment

At this point there is no a strict punishment for avoiding contributing to a guild, but be warned, if
guild management would see that some members are using this system to be provided for raids on the
expanse of the others, and it effect the healthy community we have build, at that point we will consider
changes in the system and even decide if that person is the person we want in our community.
