T he exam is a stepping stone through which candidates can secure admission in BE honours integrated first degree
programmes offered at BIT S campuses in disciplines like Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and
Economics, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Apart from this, candidates also give this exam for admission
into BPharma honours, MSc honours as well as MSc T ech degree programmes at the institute.

BIT SAT is a three hour long exam where the question paper is divided into four sections containing multiple choice questions
from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning as well as Mathematics/Biology(For BPharma
Candidates).

Eligibility
For admission to any of the First Deg ree prog rammes of BIT S except B.Pharm(Hons.):
Aspirants should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its
equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
For admission to B.Pharm(Hons.):
Aspirants should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its
equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM may also
apply for Pharmacy program.
Admission to all the prog rammes is subject to the conditions g iven below:
Aspirants should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if
he/she has taken Mathematics in BIT SAT ) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BIT SAT ) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics,
Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.
Only students who have appeared for 12th class examination in 2019 or who have passed 12th class Examination in 2018
are eligible to appear in the BIT SAT -2019 test.
If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his/her latest performance
was considered, provided this attempt had been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
Students who have passed 12th examination in 2015 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BIT SAT -2019. Students who are
presently studying in BIT S at any of its campuses too are not eligible to appear in BIT SAT -2019.
Admissions will be made purely on merit. T he merit position of the candidate for admission is based on the score obtained by
the candidate in the BIT SAT -2019. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum
marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2019 will be given direct admission to the program
of their choice, irrespective of their BIT SAT -2019 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Further details about
this scheme will be available at BIT S admission website by May third week, 2019.

Aspirants can choose BIT SAT test centres within India or Dubai.
T est centre in India: Aspirants whoopt for test centres in India, they will be required to give three preferences. T hey will be
allotted test centres out of these three preferences.
T est centre in Dubai: If aspirants choose Dubai as a test centre, theywill not be asked for any preference. T heir test centre
will be Dubai only.
T he final list of test centers along with the operating days at each center in India and Dubai will depend on the number of
aspirants and their preferences.
T he final list of test centers will be announced once all the applications have been received. Aspirants will be announced about
the same through the official website of BIT SAT . Basis this, aspirants will be able to choose their date and slot for the test as
per their convenience and availability of slots in any of these centers.

Student Reaction
BIT SAT 2019 student reactions will be published by Shiksha after the exam is conducted. BIT SAT online exam commences in
the month of May. T he exam is conducted in two slots - from 9 AM to 12 Noon and from 2 PM to 5 PM. T he
exam comprises of a total of 150 questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning and
Mathematics/Biology (For BPharm).
BIT SAT gives aspirants a chance to score more than 100% in the exam by giving them an opportunity to attempt 12
additional questions. If aspirants are able to answer all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), he/she will be able
to solve the extra questions if there is still any time left. However, once chosen, candidates cannot go back to the original
BIT SAT exam and make any kind of changes in the 150 answers they have answered earlier.

Pattern
BIT SAT 2019 exam paper will be based on objective-type multiple choice questions where candidates will be evaluated on the
basis of how many answers they give correct.
It will be a three hour duration computer based online engineering entrance exam which will be divided into four
sections/parts. Each section will have questions from different subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and
Logical Reasoning as well as Mathematics.
BIT SAT question paper will consist of questions in the above mentioned subjects taught to students as part of their Class XII
syllabus.
T he exam question paper included:
A total of 150 questions wherein candidates have to select the correct answer from four options.
For every correct answer candidates will be awarded three marks.
For every wrong answer one mark will be deducted.
T his engineering entrance exam will be divided into four sections. BIT SAT 2019 syllabus lists the topics in which aptitude of

T here is no section-wise time limit as per the BIT SAT 2019 exam pattern. However, candidates have to complete their
entrance exam in three hours duration. T hus, candidates are given the freedom to attempt any question/section as per their
preference and are even given the option to go back to a question previously attempted by them and edit it within BIT SAT
exam stipulated time duration of three hours.
Additional Questions in BIT SAT : Also, if any candidate is able to attempt all 150 question of this entrance exam within three
hours then he/she will be given an opportunity to attempt additional 12 questions within those three hours. T hese additional
questions are such that four questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections only. However,
any candidate who choose to answer these extra 12 exam questions are not allowed to go back to the original BIT SAT exam

BIT SAT question paper has all the questions in English language only. Candidates who appear for this engineering entrance

Syllabus
:
BIT SAT 2019 result (Iteration) will be announced by BIT S Pilani in the first week of July 2019. Before the same is released,
BIT SAT 2019 scores will be made available to students tentatively in the third week of May. BIT SAT result comprises the
scores that aspirants secures in the exam along with the . Besides this, it will also feature the admit list or wait list for
candidates which will be based on the marks secured in the exam.
T he scores and results will be available for only those students have taken the exam. Aspirants will be able to check BIT SAT
results by entering their application number and password. Once the result is displayed, aspirants are requested to download
and print BIT SAT 2019 result for future reference.
Only those aspirants who secure the minimum marks in the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects of 12th
examination will be eligible for admission.BIT SAT Merit list
T hese aspirants will be required to submit Admission application with 12th marks and preferences to different degree
programmes offered in the month of May, 2019. T he merit position of such eligible aspirants will be prepared on the basis of
their scores in BIT SAT .
Aspirants should note that there would be two separate merit lists prepared for admission – one for all the programmes
except the BPharm and, the other only for BPharm. T he cases of bracketing, if any, will be dealt with as described below:
When the score of two candidates are the same, first their scores obtained in Mathematics/Biology (For BPharm) in BIT SAT
will be considered for separating them.
If the tie still exists, then their scores in Physics in BIT SAT will be considered for separating them.
Further tie is eliminated using their scores in Chemistry.
Finally, their PCM/PCB(for BPharm) total marks in 12th examination will be considered for their separation.

Admit Card
BIT SAT 2019 hall ticket/admit card will be released by BIT S Pilani on their official website. Aspirants should note that admit

cards will be released only for those aspirants who have booked their slots. Aspirants should preserve BIT SAT hall ticket to be
able to appear for the exam. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
BIT SAT hall ticket will have details like Aspirant’s name and DOB, test centre address, time and date of the exam, candidate's
photograph, hall ticket number etc.

Slot Booking
BIT SAT 2019 slot booking will be conducted on the official website of BIT S. T hrough the process, eligible aspirants will be
able to book the date, time and slot for BIT SAT 2019 entrance exam which is held in May in two sessions - morning session
(9 am to 12 noon) and evening session (2 pm to 5 pm).
For BIT SAT 2019 slot booking, aspirants need to login to the website by using their BIT SAT application number, Gender,
Date of Birth and Email Id. Please note that once the slot is booked and the date and time reserved, any requests for change
in the same will not be entertained. It’s important to note that the process of slot booking for BIT SAT is on first come first
serve basis. T hus, aspirants are advised to book their slots as soon as they can.
Aspirants will require their BIT SAT application number and DOB to book slots for the exam. Candidates who are able to book
BIT SAT 2019 slots successfully will be able to download the admit cards for the exam which is expected to release in April.
After you have reserved the test date and time, BIT SAT hall ticket with detailed instructions will be available for downloading
in April, 2019.

Cut Off

BIT SAT 2019 counseling and seat allotment process will commence in May, 2019. All the eligible candidates willing to seek
admission into the undergraduate engineering programmes offered at BIT S and its campuses will have to register online and
appear for the counseling process to be able to bag a seat in their choice of course.
BIT SAT 2019 first merit list of qualified candidates will be released tentatively in the month of July. T he allotment of seats will
be done basis the merit scored by candidates and their preferred choices during BISAT 2019 counselling.
Other than the written exam and counselling, BIT S also provide direct admissions to candidates. T he provision is for board
toppers only.
BIT SAT 2019 counselling process can be completed successfully by following a few simple steps:

Step 2: Fill the details as required
While getting registered online for BIT SAT 2019 counselling, candidates will be asked to enter details including their name,
contact details, email id and more. Details once submitted cannot be changed, so it is advisable to be careful and not make
any mistake while filling the details.

Step 3: Submit 12 t h qualif ication marks
Candidates shall submit their 12 th qualifying proofs at the time of registrations. If in case the exam results are due,
candidates can submit them later when available. After successful filling of required information, candidates will be required to
take a print out of their duly filled form and preserve it for future. It is also to be mailed at the BIT S Pilani centre.
Step 4 : Select the colleg e and course as per pref erence
At this stage, candidates will have to make a choice of college and course which they will to seek admission in. Make a note
that a correct order of preferences have to be selected since once submitted, no alterations can be made. Print out of both
choice filing and application form are to be mailed at the following address:

BIT SAT 2019 Counselling Fee
On successful registration, candidates will be asked to make the payment of prescribed BIT SAT 2019 counselling fee. T he
payment of Rs 1000/- is to be made through the available payment modes. Payment can be done in cash at all ICICI bank
branches along with a specially generated Pay-in-slip.

Counselling
Candidates who wish to appear for BIT SAT , need to apply for this engineering entrance through an online form, available on
the official website of BIT S Pilani.

In BIT SAT application form, candidates have to specify their programme preferences along with mentioning the marks
obtained by them in their Class XII examination.
For successfully completing BIT SAT 2019 registration, candidates have to double check all the information mentioned by
them in the form. T hese duly filled application forms are then printed and thereafter, posted along with the enclosures such
that these documents to make them reach BIT S before the deadline.
T he BIT SAT registration form sent by Fax or Email is not accepted.
Candidates are also advised to note down their application form number because this is a unique number issued to them and

banks list is displayed for candidates to choose any of the payment mode.
By cash payment at all ICICI Bank branches in India along with a specially g enerated Pay-in Slip: Applicants can
choose to pay through Cash at ICICI Bank branches. For that, they have to download the specially designed Pay-in-slip from
the website on the payments page and walk-into any ICICI bank branch along with cash. T he bank shall deposit cash and give
you a confirmation receipt for the same.
For f oreig n candidates not residing in India: Payment is done by International Credit Cards and Debit Cards using

Applying f o r BIT S Dubai C ampus
Candidates who are interested in applying for admission in BE (Hons) programmes as well as ME/MBA programmes on offer
at BIT S Pilani, Dubai Campus have to download a copy of the admission form for BIT SAT and find out all the necessary

BIT SAT 2019 Selection Procedure
Admissions into programmes on offer at different campuses of BIT S is completely based on merit and the scores acquired
by candidates in the BIT SAT entrance exam. Here, aspirants also need to ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria
related to minimum marks to be obtained in Class XII Board examination or equivalent qualifying exam.
However, if the exam score of two candidates are the same, then the concerned authorities will use tie-breakers in the
below mentioned order to create the merit list:

Score in Physics
Score in Chemistry
PCM/PCB (for B,Pharma) total marks in Class XII examination
