My Favorite Street in Paris!

I visited Paris for a week with my ten-year-old grandson and used Rue Cler as our headquarters during our stay.
I have to say that it was perfect!
By the end of our stay, it felt like our own little neighborhood!
It is a short little street...only a few blocks...and is very picturesque and completely people friendly since it is a
pedestrian street. We had breakfast at one of the cafés each morning before we started our day and it was fun to
see the Parisians going about their daily lives. My grandson loved seeing the little French children, whose school
year had not ended yet, passing by with their parents on the way to school. The street is lined with typical French
shops, cafés and restaurants. There are shops selling cheese, wine, chocolates, books, gelato, seafood and
flowers...as well as several nice delis, produce stands and a pastry shop/bakery! There is also a pharmacy and
several little grocery stores...everything you need on one little street! Only one problem...a very trendy young
Parisian crowd invades the cafés in the evenings. However, since no smoking is allowed inside the restaurants,
we were able to have a quiet dinner and have the place almost to ourselves.
