Vorious guidelines hove been issued with respect to probotion plon of

newly recruited Probotionory Officers ond powers/level of outhority of such
officers. Toking into considerotion vorious Government guidelines ond
operotionol experiences, the Competent Authority hos opproved certoin
modificotions in probotion plon of Probotionory Officers. These modified
guidelines ore os under:

Aport from obove, there ore some other common guidelines to be followed
by oll zones with respect to Probotionory Officers:

l. STF-17 (Quorterly Progress Report of POs): Quorterly Progress Reports of POs

(STF-I 7l ore now being verified by Heod Office, HRM Deportment. Now it is
decided thot quorterly STF-'|7 should be verified by the Zonol Monoger. ln
cose of STF-17 of 5t ond lost quorler of probotion, in oddition to verificolion
by the Zonot Monoger, ore to be submitted to Heod Office, HRM olso.
Necessory modificotions hove been done in HRMS in this regord.

2. police Verificotion Report (PVR) should be roised by Zonol Offices

immediotely ofter joining of the PO in the Zone. The Zones should ensure
thot PVR is received within three months of joining of the PO.

3. Deployment of POs on joining sholl be done by Heod Office' HRM

Deportment.

4. After completion of first yeor of probotion, deployment of to be POs hos

done by respective Zonol Offices only ofter obtoining prior opprovol of
Heod office, HRM Deportment. Similorly, ofter confirmotion of P2

5. Online test will held ofter completion first yeor ond second yeor of
probotion. Confirmotion of POs will be done only if they quolify in the
Online test.

6. Confirmotion of POs will be done by Heod Office, HRM Deportment bosed

on their performonce os reflected in STF-17 ond sotisfoctory Police
Verificotion Report.

7. POs during the probotion period or hoving o service of less thon two yeors
will not be osked to recommend ond process loons, unless it forms port of
their leorning process.

B. Probotionory Officers should not be posted os Bronch Heod during the

probotion period.

The obove guidelines should be brought to the notice of oll concerned for
strict complionce.
