RELATIONSHIP FAMILIES OF CONSCIOUS NUTRITION WITH

NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN IN TATA KARYA
VILLAGE DISTRICT ABUNG SURAKARTA 2015

Nutritional problem is still far from the target. According Riskesdas, in 2013, there were
19.6% children are malnourished consisting of 5.7% children with malnutrition and
13.9% less nutrition status. The prevalence of malnutrition in Lampung have not reached
the MDG's target of 18.8%. Tata Karya PHC data work, amounting to 21.8% of
underweight children consisting of 3.2% children with malnutrition and 18.6% less
nutrition status, whereas in the Tata Karya village Abung Surakarta District of incidence
of malnutrition by the year 2013 as many as 16 toddlers and increased in 2014 as many as
26 children. So the purpose of this research is knowing the correlation between nutrition
conscious families with nutritional status of children in Tata Karya Village District
Abung Surakarta 2015.

This type of research is quantitative analytical survey design .Populasi in this study were
all along the toddler's mother in Tata Karya Village District Abung Surakarta, which
amounts to 110 children, with a sample of 30% of all mothers in the village along with
toddlers Tata Karya Village District Abung Surakarta, which amounts to 33 toddlers. The
sampling technique using simple random sampling. The analysis performed in this study
using the Chi-Square.

The results based on univariate analysis showed that families who have a conscious level
of nutrition is not good, as many as 15 people (45.5%). toddlers have less nutritional
status, as many as 12 people (36.4%). While the bivariate analysis showed that there is a
relationship between the level of nutrition conscious families with nutritional status of
children in Tata Karya Village District Abung Surakarta in 2015, with a P-Value = 0.003
and Odds Ratio (OR) = 16.0. To that end, it is expected to be increased provision of
counseling on kadarzi and nutritional status of the mothers who have children.
