Athletes
After a nice and hot 2018 edition, we will be heading to a new venue in 2019 :
The National Vélodrome of St Quentin-en-Yvelines. The Vélodrome is an
exceptional all in one venue that will give the event the flexibility in needs to
grow.
This year, the competition will be better and bigger than ever, we will use
once again two competition areas and will host more athletes, more
volunteers and more partners. Consequently it is even more important for you
to understand how the three days will go in order to give you the best
experience possible.
Registration will take place on Thursday between 2 and 8:45pm and will be
mandatory for all the athletes. You will also need to take part in the briefing
that will take place at 6:30pm.
Every category will compete starting on the Friday morning.
On Sunday after the podium, you are invited to stay with us in the partner
village where we will share a drink. If you are interested in continuing the party
all night long, we will recommend addresses in Paris where you will be more
than welcome.
In this document, you will find information on where and when you will have to
be through the event. Use it as your main source of information to find your

After the podium, athletes, coaches and volunteers are invited to share a drink
in the partner village.

Parking:
We recommend the Q-park parking located near the SNCF train station or the
Bertin Parking.
The agenda of all heats for the three days will be sent to you once the first
events are announced.
Exact heat distribution for Saturday and Sunday will be available every
evening for the next day.
Athletes
Athletes can enter the competition area with their own food and beverages.
Physiotherapists will be available for the athletes during the whole week end
to provide them massages and care.
Athletes will also have access to changing rooms with showers.
We are expecting you to keep the warm up zone and the competition
areas as clean as possible.
Warm-up Area:
The access to the Warm-up area is for athletes and coaches ONLY.
Please do not spill drinks, food or chalk in the warm-up area.
You have to be in the call zone next to the warm up area at least 20
minutes before your heat.
“Shepherds” will be in the warm up zone and will start calling your
category 20 minutes prior to your heat. 10 minutes prior to your heat,
your shepherd will bring you to your appropriate workout area. PLEASE
BE ON TIME AND AWARE.
Athletes will enter the competition area two to three minutes before their
heat.
If an athlete does not respect this rule, he may not be able to participate
in one of the event and may be disqualified.
Event venue :
The venue will have two competition areas. The Vélodrome and the
Outside competition area. As an athlete, the meeting point for any heat
will always be the Call zone located next to the warm up area. Please be
close to it at least 20 minutes prior to your heat.

Important:
The French Throwdown and its directors hold responsibility as governing body
and administrator to this event.
All staff, sponsors, exhibitors, participants and spectators are required to have
completed and to abide by the appropriate waivers and documentation as
outlined by the French Throwdown, paid or registered for entry and must be
wearing an official event identification wristband or Neck id
All staff, sponsors, exhibitors, participants and spectators are required to
follow direction of event staff and event signage or posting at all times.”
In the eventuality of a drug test, if the same athlete has been awarded with a
prize money, the French Throwdown directors has the right to ask for a proof
of a negative result before transferring the prize money. In order to obtain the
proof, the athlete will need to contact the French Doping Agency and then
transfer it to the FTD team.
Guests who fail to abide by facility policies, state and federal law are
subject to ejection from the facility. Any guest who is violating policy
will be asked to correct their behavior, and if they fail to do so in a timely
fashion, they will be ejected. Individuals who have been ejected must
vacate arena property or be subject to arrest on trespassing charges.
Teens will need to be with an adult during registration and while in the warm-
up areas.
