In this meeting me and the team discussed the roles we are going to take on for our interview
with media industry editor Dominic Strevens.
We discussed what roles would be best suited to each person and made sure everyone was
happy with their role, I am the presenter/ interviewer who will be talking to Dominic, Joe is the
Director, Chloe is the script supervisor, shaq is the vision mixer, the cameramen are sam, finley
and harvey, Tommy is the sound engineer.
In this meeting we also discussed what questions we are going to ask Dominic Strevens, we did
this in a collaborative document, members of the crew added questions to the collaborative
document and only the best questions were picked.
In this meeting we discussed the questions we will be asking Dominic Strevens in further detail,
deciding what questions were appropriate and which were not as a lot of the questions were
about Line of Duty we thought that we should not ask too many questions about Line of Duty
however we will be asking some, we will also ask about his other projects e.g. Broadchurch,
Marcella and Humans.
We will be asking how he got started in the media industry and how he became an editor, we
will also ask what his favorite production was to work on. I will ask him for advice for someone
wanting to get into the media industry.

This is the final meeting before the production day, in this meeting we ran through the floor
management, the lighting plan, the script in the studio. Everyone ran through and rehearsed
their responsibilities in their selected roles.
I practiced the timing of my questions and rehearsing my script.
I also helped the cameramen with the positioning of the chairs in the interview, I helped them
find the right positioning for lighting for me and Mr Strevens.
SCRIPT
Why i done the role of a vision mixer
I wanted the role of the vision mixer because I felt it was an important role and I felt that I have a
good eye for shots therefore having the freedom to choose what shots to use at what time
sound like something I was capable of doing. Also I knew that it would be my job to
communicate with other crew members during the production and I am able to keep calm during
situations where other people may feel flustered or pressured therefore the role would fit me
very well, because if the vision mixer who is communicating with the crew is panicking then it
could cause everyone else to panic so being able to keep calm is very important to the
production going smoothly.
