FEEDING PROGRAM

Last March 22, 2019, Bugo National High School conducts its monthly
feeding program to those identified severely wasted students from Grade 7 to
Grade 10. Two hundred students were able to receive the food prepared by
some of the TLE Cookery teachers namely Ms. Honelyn Caga-anan, Mrs. Jeanie
Bagares, Ms. Emeline Abejo, Ms. Jenmarie Dullente spearheaded by their TLE
Coordinator Ms. Queenee Vallecera. Early in the morning, TLE teachers
together with their students gathered at the Senior High TLE Laboratory, they
wash and cut the ingredients for Arozcaldo. The dish Arozcaldo is already a
complete meal having rice, chicken meat and vegetables that students
delightfully liked. Three huge stock pots were used to cook the arozcaldo using
firewood. Amounting to 10 kilos of rice, 6 kios of chicken and 4 kilos of
vegetables was consumed during the preparation. Around 9 o’clock in the
morning, the Arozcaldo was already cooked and was place in a paper cup with
spoon. All severely wasted students were called and gathered at some of the
grade 7 classroom located at the red building.
Afterwards, the cooked Arozcaldo was delivered to them individually and the
students enjoyed the food. Aside from the feeding program, it was also the
schedule for Deworming. The assigned school nurse during that time, Mrs.
Pam Recadamas conduct the initiative to gave the students the medicine for
deworming.
